  1. I wonder how quickly Nexstar kills off The CW? Or tries to make it NewsNation+. Something tells me this is going to go south fast if the sale goes through.
  2. Well, it will be interesting to see how they utilize the truck during May when severe Weather starts happening more. But at what point do these vehicles become too much of a distraction from actually Forecasting and watching severe weather??
  3. it's KMSG-LP not KSMG, That is a Radio station in Seguin, TX.
  4. What issues do KDVR & KWGN have?? Their ratings seem to be okay, esp KDVR..
  5. I think the news will be anchored from 30 Rock tonight it will be interesting to see how that works. It could also be that Tyler Matheson or someone else just fills in over on CNBC.
  6. Last night with the Russia Ukraine blowup, it felt like they were not prepared to cover it. There was a period after the president had finished talking where they went to commercial and took there time coming back from the break at least 5 mins.
  7. One of my favorite packages was the December 1992- September 1995 graphics package that KCNC shared with WNBC. I have always thought it was a clean look & way ahead of the other Denver stations at the time. Forgot to mention, I also enjoyed the 2005-2008 Aqua blue & white graphics package that WBBH used as seen here.
  8. TWC has so far had great coverage of the winter storm back east. Even if they are still using there stupid naming system.
  9. FOX Weather has been okay so far during the blizzard back east this weekend, however I think TWC has been doing a lot more in-depth coverage.
  10. I think a big problem that the TODAY show has is that Comcast doesn't seem to have the same handle on what's going on day to day with the show. I think when GE owned NBC, NBC NEWS was a much much better run organization.
  11. Altitude Sports & Entertainment, is still not available to Comcast & Dish Network customers in Colorado. So no Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets or Colorado Mammoth games will be available unless you have DirecTV. This is year #3 that Altitude hasn't been available to Comcast & Dish Network customers.
  12. They may have, but it was still on the cable system guide & in the Denver Post guide through this past Friday.
  13. KWGN has dropped it's 11PM Newscast as of Friday October 8, 2021.
  14. In Denver- KDVR was announced last month as the station for "You Bet your Life with Jay Leno" but instead KCDO has picked it up. It will air at 7PM & 7:30PM, it will then Re-Air at 12:36AM on KMGH.
  15. What is up with the Audio tonight on Nightly News? It's has been very low and hard to hear. Then going to commercial at around the :15 min mark, you could hear Lester asking about the bad audio. It's bad tonight.
  16. It's going to be interesting to see just how well this new streaming service does, or if it's gone after a year or so. It would be cool to see a side by side comparison of FOX Weather with The Weather Channel, Weather Nation TV & AccuWeather. It's good that they are being overseen by the news department, that should give it some credibility.
  17. The KMGH Studios have been sold: (Heads up there is a paywall) https://www.bizjournals.com/denver/news/2021/07/16/denver7-speer-apartments-sold-pmg-greybrook.html
  18. How low do you think the upcoming morning program's ratings are going to be in relation to in the heat of the night & blue bloods reruns? Right now things don't look so good for the rest of there news programing. Yikes!
  19. I hope Comcast wins this, Hopefully it forces the station to go back to Scripps whether they want it or not...
  20. Probably a good idea, but Scripps dosn't own NewsNet so how is that going to work?
  21. Why not post the old TV Clips to Vemo's video player?, there isn't a lot of content over there.
  22. I Don't think this deal is going to make the CW any better. It will still just be there taking up airspace.
  23. A little change to you listing here: KRDO & KUSA are news share partners, and KOAA & KMGH are now sister stations because Scripps purchased Cordillera Communications on May 1, 2019.
  24. Found this while goofing around online this afternoon the "Big Switch" in Denver, a throwback segment from KUSA-TV: (Too bad they don't show the Phil Hartman promo that aired right before the first 9NEWS@5 as an NBC station).
  25. Is it me or does Nexstar seem to be afraid of digital? What I mean is, you don't see nexstar stations trying new digital things & live streaming appears to be very inconsistent across nexstar stations . While KDVR did launch "FOX31 NOW" that is just an online stream & it's minimal effort at that, mainly traffic accidents, weather ect. For example: KXRM has very little in the way of live streaming on it's website, it does stream all of it's newscasts but that is about it. KREX & KFQX have no live streaming options available at there website. Again inconsistent across there footprint. I think that should be focus for Nexstar instead of pet projects like News Nation, which is a dumpster fire in of it's self.
