Yet another network that GOLtv, a network which pretty much carries niche Portuguese and South American soccer, has lasted longer than. They've outlived Fox Soccer, and now undoubtedly beIN.
Hehehe. The cockroach that keeps on giving

The station's actually been seeing a constant exodus since last year without many new talent coming in (like maybe two new faces).
They never did find a direct replacement for Bob Frier after he left last summer, and seem to have forced Kristin to lead the news at 4AM.Â
Robert Guaderrama and Glenn Richards left in April.
Heather Gustafson left in March.
Mike Magnoli left late last year.Â
Brian Scott also left last summer.
For a market like Orlando, the station seems to have quite a bit of turnover, to say the least.Â
It's tough to get some eyeballs in the newscasts if people are coming in and out. I imagine Orlando news TV ratings suffers due to this craziness

That's probably up to the board that now controls the church and WBNX (set up while Angley's health was failing).Â
Â
It's seems more likely now that Ernest has passed and it was the same story when Rex Humbard resigned from his own church in the 80s (moving to Florida), setting the stage for WBNX (originally owned by another related entity and purchased by Angley) and the later purchase The Cathedral of Tomorrow and related entities soon after.
Â
Easy duopoly bait for Tegna, Scripps (since Inyo owns WVPX and WDLI) or Nexstar. Or it could be sold to someone like Marquee or even Weigel to be a repository of subchannels. I doubt they'd try to keep 55.1 as an independent like they did with flagship WCIU before it picked up the CW.
I don't think they have a choice as the affiliation agreements are all tied up ATM. If Weigel owns it, you might as well call it "The X"

Now the station can be put up for sale.
It's a no brainer for Nexstar...as WBNX is on an UHF frequency. They can easily move WJW on there and place the subchannels (and the new one coming out) on their own virtual channel (55.1)...

When NBC Sports Philadelphia launched as CSN Philadelphia in 1997, they used the terrestrial infrastructure left behind by PRISM to distribute the channel keeping satellite companies from access. The FCC closed this loophole in 2010, but the issues remain.
Yep, I heard of that. It's an obvious excuse for Comcrap as they wanted the channel to remain exclusive to them so that more people can subscribe to them. Now with cordcutting becoming more popular, clearly they can't do that anymore. This model I imagine will be a win-win for both sides

Baltimore Sun reporting that the Maryland State AG's Office has submitted a complaint to the FCC requesting the agency to investigate WBFF for it's bias, inflammatory, slander among other things.
I doubt this will go anywhere...

I hate to say it, but you know who is the one free agent that would save this channel?

Lou Dobbs.

NBC Sports could sell its RSNs or make them available on Peacock
Â
NBC was apparently ready to put NBC Sports Philadelphia on Peacock in time for the Phillies, but had to push it back.
Philadelphians would LOVE this. NBCS Philly has had a long history of distribution issues (DTV and Dish doesn't carry it still) so getting it ala carte would work instead of shifting TV providers

Roku is a repeat offender with these disputes. I have no real use for them since they keep deleting good apps. Android TV devices/FireTV are the way to go

And I want a pony. Doesn't matter what MLB wants as the RSNs are at mercy of their current providers too and I imagine they'll all lawyer up if something like this happens

I hope we see some more movement over here in Miami. I cant imagine WSVN and WPLGÂ being content on keeping their VHF slots ATM

Yeah...it's a joke. Its impossible to compete with WGN, WLS and WMAQ with nonsense decision making like this. Constantly changing your anchors is not a good idea...
