  1. The reasons why WNYW will never leave there buidling is because its historic in the networks keep there facilities of there flagship station in historic buildings just because of legacy they can just renovate instead of putting money into a expensive real estate project in New York. What WABC and ABC is doing is rare.
  2. I say cut all ties, why because if EN format doesn't work he can take over as solo anchor if the program and managing editor when they decide this format wasn't good and they decide to go normal again this an if. Peter Jennings did the same thing. He needs to think about the money, going back to CBS2 is less money more like thousands he's in the big leagues his salary is probably millions now. This is telling him leave WCBS you're in the big leagues enjoy it
  3. Well its funny to say all 4 are keeping the jobs they have also, so that question can also go for Dickerson too. He keeping his streaming newscast also. My bet he retains the 11pm show and eventually maybe he'll stop doing WCBS all together becasue eventually they'll pay him more money. Al Roker did the same when he got Today he was still doing live at 5 and eventually in 2000 he stopped and went to network full time.
  4. I'm happy for all 4. Oh so they're all continuing the roles they already have, I just think Muarice and Lonnie should give up WCBS all together you made it to the national why work double duty trust me CBS News New York is still there it isn't going anywhere. If they both don't like the nationals they could come back to local. I say this because on election night 2026 or 2028 they're all 3 are probably the ones who are gonna be anchoring coverage shall that day come up and we know election nights can go pass 11pm Maurice can't hoop off the desk doing WCBS then come back on to national coverage. So I don't understand why all of them are gonna be doing 2 jobs. WCBS should our Wragge right back into the evening with Kristine I think they were besties when the hosted it.
  5. I bet Tony Dikopil I’ll parlay that.
  6. They most of them had different voiceovers, though some had the same. Until 2013 my station WUVC had no voiceover until it got the same guy who vo’s KMEX. They all remain unidentified.
  7. Could Annabelle be the next 11pm co anchor
  8. Eventually News Nation will be how Fox Network treats Fox News Channel. They’ll probably do special reports or special presentations and I’ll be just for the Nexstar’s CW stations and network wide. PIX11 essentially did that by tossing to their coverage during the news Biden is stepping down. I wonder on election night or the inauguration if they’ll take that same route without having to produce their own coverage. I know CW simulcasted their presidential debate earlier this year, so there definitely trying it out.
  9. Jason Martinez podcast show at 11:35pm. Phantastic Sports Show she appeared there. I think Jason honestly is a good sports anchor he more genuine than News, I lot of these sports anchor turned news you can see don’t like it, it just is generally not them.
  10. WTVD does it all the time.
  11. I got the David in Raleigh
  12. Surprised she choose to leave network CBS in her case I’ll never understand journalists who leave the highest level ever in broadcast journalism to downgrade to local. That like Leaving Yale for Ohio State. Very few make it to the national level to unless you’re leaving to retire, going down is always a bad move because you’ll never get an invitation back. Very few journalists have been able to leave the network for local news then return to network for another stint Don Dahler is a good example with his brief stint at WCBS before returning to CBS News. Yea I get NY is market #1 but I think that’s a downgrade to go down.
  13. I’ll stay that way 2 (no pun intended)
  14. Every journalist has an opinion even Lestor Holt has done commentaries for over 4 years now I think, this was a neutral opinion really more of a prediction. He just said he doesn't think Biden can't serve another 4 years not really an opinion but more of a prediction. He said "I don't think he[Biden] doesn't think he can serve 4 more years", more that sounds more unsure prediction than an opinion.
  15. CBS has been served! https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/jeff-vaughn-kcal-discrimination-lawsuit-cbs-1236060229/amp/
  16. Those are pretty much the independent stations and the MYTV stations, I think Nexstar can get them however there at limit of how many stations they can own they already have to sell a few station to keep WPIX in New York. But perhaps he’ll sell more stations to not just to keep WPIX but to get those 13 stations that would be a good comeback since those 13 paramount stations dropped their CW affiliation after Nexstar bought the CW network. If Perry Sook Nexstar’s CEO is willing to chop some stations because he’s at the ownership limit and get those 13 stations and keep WPIX that’s a good steal. Now most of Paramount’s non CBS affiliates stations are in markets where Nexstar broadcasting owns a competing station, however some of those stations are in markets he doesn’t have a station in like Detroit, Pittsburgh, Seattle, and Miami. Miami and Detroit markets of course are in danger of not having an in market affiliate of CW because they can’t find a station however this deal allows them to not just own a station there but it gives secures a CW affiliation there. Then of course there CW station WPIX in New York not part of Paramount/CBS but he wants to keep that station so he’ll have to unload more stations to stay under the cap and get those stations but it’s perfect timing.
  17. Greensboro is a secondary NFC market just like WITI and KTBC, and WOFL I assume its because it was a small market. They were NFC at the time, still are. Before relocation back to LA, I think it was about small markets. Keep in mind NOLA is a NFC market, They never got WVUE, and honestly they could get WLUK in Green Bay. But I assume they're small markets.
  18. I wonder when the alphabet runs out what are they gonna name the designs.
  19. Virtual or in person?
  20. I don't know if it's the Eyewitness News package or Warner Chapell have you confirmed that? WTVD is nice, that update putting that seamless monitor wall in 2023 make it look well. They are in WLS situation street level studio small space thry can't do everything and tight camera shots.
  21. A long time ago like the 90s and 80s it would be around 100k-300k but that was a long time ago.
  22. This might be a Warner Chappell production I don't know if this is EWN update.
  23. I don't believe that'll happen I doubt it.
  24. They're expensive I mean in the '90s Gil Jimenez sets cost only $100,000, but unless you want more stations to having set forever like KING 5 in Seattle did before their move in 2016, or WJZ before there new set in 2018, or KUSI which hasn't changed their set yet. You need them. No viewers are gonna watch a newscast in a set that from 25+ years ago in fact I argue it expensive because they've gotta constantly refresh the set to make it look modern as it ages, replacing the set while expensive yes best the cost of having to constantly update an aging news set from decades ago to look good in modern times.
  25. It was nice but I kinda in my eye was starting to look dated. Just like WCCO their set holds up well also but at some point ill start to look sore.
