tvknowledge 5
Re: the article and the nonstop news service-The synergy of all his CBS stations has been a dream of Peter Dunn for the longest time, not just here in the NYC market. You can argue for it with all the great resources put together from tv and the 6 radio stations they own and the billboard company etc. Of course, the con would mean they could do more with less and end up laying off people. Dunn is the driving force between all the soundbytes you hear on WCBS newsradio 880 from the CBS2 reporters and also why you hear the WCBS-tv forecasters like John Elliot and Lonnie Quinn on the radio when Craig Allen is off. A few years ago though, there was the failed experiment of having cameras in the radio broadcast studios to have the radio anchors broadcast on tv, especially in the mornings. It'll be interesting to watch the outcome of this, if it gets off the ground. 24994J 5577
I remember hearing about a sub-channel "idea"/"concept" as long as a year ago in Chicago (right about the time Chicago Nonstop launched). AndrewPollard_ 6
I remember hearing about a sub-channel "idea"/"concept" as long as a year ago in Chicago (right about the time Chicago Nonstop launched). I just began a topic page for that. Go there total about it and leave updates for all to know in the day to the subbie's debut. kshow 166
New pic! So the desk is LED and the light's colors can be changed around the set. New Newsroom signage: Looks like the HD isn't on the logo anymore... abric 178
They could raise the duratan up a little. But that's me being picky. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/11483-wcbs-set-de-construction/page/3/#findComment-69145 Share on other sites
kshow 166
I like it, may be the best set in the city. I just have to see it on video to confirm that. Guest
They could raise the duratan up a little. But that's me being picky. If you're talking about the skyline in back, it's not a duratran but actually a rear projection screen. Newsfan 9
I like what I see from Channel 2. I might like this more than Channel 7's studio and I like that one a lot. I'm looking forward to Thursday! Question, will the graphics and the microphones change as well? It would be very cool if everything on Channel 2 is completely brand new.
