WCBS Set De-construction

Re: the article and the nonstop news service-The synergy of all his CBS stations has been a dream of Peter Dunn for the longest time, not just here in the NYC market. You can argue

for it with all the great resources put together from tv and the 6 radio stations they own and the billboard company etc. Of course, the con would mean they could do more with less

and end up laying off people. Dunn is the driving force between all the soundbytes you hear on WCBS newsradio 880 from the CBS2 reporters and also

why you hear the WCBS-tv forecasters like John Elliot and Lonnie Quinn on the radio when Craig Allen is off. A few years ago though, there was the failed

experiment of having cameras in the radio broadcast studios to have the radio anchors broadcast on tv, especially in the mornings.

It'll be interesting to watch the outcome of this, if it gets off the ground.

They could raise the duratan up a little. But that's me being picky.

If you're talking about the skyline in back, it's not a duratran but actually a rear projection screen.

I like what I see from Channel 2. I might like this more than Channel 7's studio and I like that one a lot. I'm looking forward to Thursday!

Question, will the graphics and the microphones change as well? It would be very cool if everything on Channel 2 is completely brand new.
