knightofni 2 Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Julie departs Now I heard that Julie Chang left the WPIX morning show to move to London.
NYNews 54 Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 You're right, her bio is no longer on the website. Did they give her a farewell?

knightofni 2 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 WPIX debuted some new weather graphics in preparation for the switch to HD which will take place late next week.

WizOz 3 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Linda made some off the cuff "kinky" remark this AM about making her men wear uniforms, and than said "I will probably get in trouble for saying that". Jill Nicolini got a big laugh out of the comment.
IceManNYR 242 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I don't know if it's related to the switch to HD but I've noticed WPIX has stopped the 5% or so zooming of the 4:3 video for the programming not in HD.
knightofni 2 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Could be a product of the down-converting, but I don't know specifics about it to say for sure.
shorewx 1 Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 knightofni..do they still have Sky tracker radar? Any updates on that system?
knightofni 2 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 From what I saw, it's just different graphics but still the same radar, similar backgrounds. But sharper images for high def. Linda Church in High def...Wiz's dream come true.
Harry Houdini 0 Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Had to bring this one back. They have the best cleavage in town.
WizOz 3 Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Linda Church is still one of the best almost 50 morning hotties. The cleavage competition between Good Day New York and WB 11 goes to WB 11 of late.
TrfRptr 3 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Linda Church is moving to weekends after sweeps. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv/2007/05/11/2007-05-11_change_in_the_weather_at_pix.html May 11, 2007 this thread was started and with the above post. I don't know about you, but I still see Linda Church Monday thru Friday. Has the Daily News ever printed a retraction?

Has the Daily News ever printed a retraction? None needed. Management ended up wanting Cioffi out in the end after Linda's contract snafu. She wanted to leave. They said "We still want your cleavage. Stay for weekends, we'll ditch Cioffi." All was OK, before they changed their minds and reworked her contract. Management still pushed Cioffi out the door and got the short end of the stick. Knowles comes in and takes over weekends. *WHEW!*
knightofni 2 Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 With all the recent Tribune changes, who knows if they change management over at PIX Plaza, it could lead talent changes as well. Difficult to tell, but anything's possible at that place.
shorewx 1 Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Betty Ellen Berlamino, vice president/station manager for WPIX-TV (WB11), New York, has been named vice president/general manager of the station. The appointment, effective immediately, was announced today by Michael Eigner, Tribune Television president. Harry Houdini 0 Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 While we're talking cleavage, What about Jill? Oofa! Any info on here besides being in love David Wright.
