You say that, even as several stations have picked up Judy Justice in syndication this season.

It doesn’t change anything about what  I said.

Someone mentioned it on another board, and checking TitanTV it looks like they’re dropping Judge Judy later this month to launch a 4pm newscast

The Fox 29 Early News started today at 4PM.

And only temporary until Election Day. Listings have Judge Judy going back to the 4pm timeslot after it.

I was watching FOX-29 a few days ago, and noticed something. Why do most of their meteorologists, except for Sue, stand so close to the camera? On most stations, you can at least see from their stomach up. But on Fox-29, when Scott was on, he was so close, to the point you could only see half of his tie. He was taking up the entire left half of the screen! Tonight I watched FOX-29 again, and Sue was on, but at least I could see down to her stomach.

Different folks have different framing, especially if they've transitioned from presenting on a chyron previously to a display behind the back. As long as most of the imagery is seen, that's the most important thing, along with the met's comfort. Also, someone smaller is obviously going to need some zoom so they aren't dwarfed by the background, while a tall man needs their own proportions on-screen.

While Fox 4 Kansas City was in New Orleans for the Super Bowl, they ran into their colleagues from Fox 29. WDAF and WTXF were sister stations from 1994-2007

It has been like that for many years. I can remember watching the station in the early 2010s and the camera was always too close. I thought it was because the green screen wasn’t wide enough and they couldn’t zoom out the camera too far.

FOX 29 is making quite a few changes to its daytime schedule for the fall season. BAM and Good Day Uncut are moving from 2:00 PM to 11:00 AM, and  Sherri and Jennifer Hudson show are moving back another hour to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM. Judge Judy is moving to 2:00 PM, and the 4:00 PM hour will have a new show called Behind the News, the description for the first episode of which is "The best of 'What's for Dinner!'" 25 Words or Less is losing its 1:00 PM timeslot, and it'll be stuck at 1:00 AM now.

I noticed this morning that the early Good Day Philadelphia show is using the street size Studio and last night, there were no wide shots used at all on the late news.

Could this be a studio refresh or even a new set coming?

Good Day Philadelphia is celebrating its 30th anniversary tomorrow, April 1.  I believe they'll be talking about it during the regular morning shows, plus an evening show starting at 6:30PM.  Also, Sheinelle Jones was in Philadelphia Monday promoting her new book and stopped by Good Day.  Below is the video of her visit.

Side note, is it just me or do all the segments I see from their street side studio have really poor audio quality? It’s so hollow and echoey, even in the scenes they showed in that segment from back in 2013.

That studio looks extremely tight and there is always road, building construction outside that building on Market St. I wonder if it’s super insulated.

I’ll give them credit still using it after CBS3 and NBC10 stopped using theirs. I saw an old YouTube video when NBC10 would broadcast from Lowes hotel. I wonder if those anchors had to pay the Philly payroll tax
