LTSC1980 114 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Columbia, SC MyNetworkTV affiliate WKTC (Ch. 63) has begun airing ads for the CW, touting "CW 63 Coming March 17th", apparently taking over from WZRB. Any recording about this? I don't found any source about it.
damien6786 9 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 WRBU begun to carry ION subchannels. Yeah they got Qubo as a subchannel on 46.2 but there is more addded today? What are Ion's subchannels besides Qubo?

sanewsguy 514 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Yeah they got Qubo as a subchannel on 46.2 but there is more addded today? What are Ion's subchannels besides Qubo? A quick check of KPXL shows: 26.1-ION 26.2-Qubo 26.3-IonLife 26.4-Shop (I think it's basically a loop of infomercials) 26.5-QVC 26.6-HSN Really, what a waste of air space and bandwidth. I was OK with Qubo and IonLife but really, three home shopping channels? I'll assume 'Ion Life' is still on the air, and if you've ever seen the 'Live Well Network', you'll get the gist of 'Ion Life'. Live Well is also a waste of space. I wish WOAI would replace it with Antenna TV but that's unlikely...
evilcoleslaw 0 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Any recording about this? I don't found any source about it. I managed to get a recording of it this morning. The first few seconds of the ad are missing, but it's just a montage of CW show promo material anyway, until the last bit with the callsign etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYeI5BhP1zE

I first noticed the full slate of ION subchannels (in the same order as sanewsguy noted above) on WRBU this past Saturday morning (3/8). We've come full circle as HSN has returned to Channel 46 after 11 years. Well, one-sixth of Channel 46, anyway.

But St Louis do have a HSN affiliate which is on channel 7 did they move it from KPTN then?
Brother 83 Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 But St Louis do have a HSN affiliate which is on channel 7 did they move it from KPTN then? HSN is now airing on both 7.1 and 46.6.
LTSC1980 114 Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 http://www.locatetv.com/listings/wktc-my63-mynetworktv Looks like WKTC will carry both CW and MyNetworkTV.
The Frog 435 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 So how does WKTC handle their branding now? Are they using CW63 or My63 branding while airing MyNetworkTV programming?
Nelson R. 569 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Their Wikipedia page has a new CW63 logo so I imagine that is their branding now. Website is under reconstruction.
Thundershock MN 169 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 To reiterate and confirm what Nelson R. posted. B&C stated that WKTC rebranded as "CW Columbia 63" and shifted MNT programming to a secondary affiliation running after CW programming runs in prime time.
