That ain’t a knock-off. It’s the real deal from the FTS Graphics Hub.

Also not the first time they’ve helped out a non-O&O either.

Though what they did have before was definitely serviceable for that market.

Lubbock seems like too small a market to have that kind of in-house lifestyle program, and that talent bump was way too long. Cool, I see them...oh, I still see them.

Here we go! KJTV has become FOX O&Oinized... Music and knock-off L3s and everything.

This talent seems like something from a College station. Hokey a fuck!

What more can you expect from a small market independent?

For a market the size of Lubbock that's actually not too bad. It could always be worse

You're correct. They did it for both.

I didn't see WESH's version in there. Only WTVJ's.

That sequence at 17s is pretty damning.

I just rewatched that section, but those graphics were actually for NBC’s former overnight news service, NBC Nightside. They do look similar though.

Here’s the full open:

not sure if this would go here or in one of the international threads (let me know if it's in the wrong place, didn't see an international knockoff thread), but Vizion Plus's news open is a blatant knockoff of ITV's offerings. i'm also pretty sure they're tryin to go for an ITV thing with the set and are... failing, to say the least. seems to be some kind of weird mix of the regular ITV news intros with elements from the News at Ten open.

here's Vizion Plus Lajme -

and here's ITV -

speaking of ITV, here's Granada attempting to copy one of the 90s hearst looks. feels like they tried to make the arrowed G logo work kinda like the WCVB numeral but... it just doesn't work too well imho -

Come on KARK, you're not fooling anybody with that (this was during the 80s)

This wouldn't be the last time KARK would rip off another station's logo...

They both took that logo from WTVJ in the 80s

I would guess some of that logo duplication is courtesy of VDO, who created packages for both stations in the early 2000’s (WSMV’s short-lived package with the “[4]” and “Seize the Day.”)...

Kinda like how KOB ripped off WABC’s “Eyewitness News” word mark after having a package created by the same firm...(Giant  Octopus perhaps?)
