FiveNews 372
Especially in Los Angeles, where there's local news at mostly every single hour, outside the overnight hours (except 10:30am, 2:00 and 11:35pm) Sorry WSVNFan, saw your post after I typed my reply. TheRolyPoly 2449
LA is divided into three blocks on weekdays, two on weekends. Weekdays has morning (4:00-10:30am), midday (11:00am-2:00pm) and afternoon/evening (3:00-11:35pm) Weekends has morning (5:00-9:30am Saturdays, 5:00-11:00am Sundays) and afternoon/evening (4:00pm-12:00am) LA is the most unique market in this country. Not even NYC has this many news, outside sports commitments and everything else, despite being #1 and LA being #2. MikePulse 318
Meanwhile in Orlando, 9 still rules them all. Save for News 6 (getting results) WKMG, once again riding high at 11 c/o CBS prime. WGCL, with Super Bowl 50 and this year's Grammys being on a Monday, fared pretty well in primetime, but the 52,340 wasn't enough to fend off WAGA for #2 (60,191; they had the X-Files reboot and the farewell season of American Idol is already helping them against Survivor (Wednesdays), the CBS Thursday comedies, and ABC's Shonda Rhimes trifecta). WXIA, on the other hand, finished dead last. But the billboards I've been seeing from WGCL isn't luring viewers to their newscasts, while I feel that WXIA has been doing better investigative stories lately than the other three (Fox 5 has yet to do an hour-long I-Team special). The numbers for Fox 5's "News Edge" continue to increase from 39,060 (October) to 52,340, though they're still tight-lipped about Stephany Fisher joining Tom Haynes at the anchor desk. Maybe by May, we'll know. I, for one, would like to see Boston's numbers; I bet WCVB's has doubled with the addition of Maria Stephanos!
