mre29 1553 Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 So, apparently, WHDH will have coverage of the royal wedding from 6:00am to 9:00am ET on Saturday. Does anyone know if they're covering it on their own, with their own crew in London and everything, or are they actually simulcasting another news org's coverage? My listings show the coverage as being titled "7 News Special: Royal Wedding", which makes me wonder if they're teaming up with WSVN rather than duplicating all the effort required. Are there any other indie stations here in the US that are planning on having live coverage?
24994J 5621 Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 WGN will be on the air at 4am, running through their normal 7-9 timeslot.
Georgie56 3324 Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 WJXT will start their wedding coverage at 5am.
CalItalian2 163 Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 KTLA starts their coverage at 3 AM Saturday. Two hours earlier than their normal 6 hour newscast that starts at 5 am Saturdays.
Bsean 152 Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 KTLA starts their coverage at 3 AM Saturday. Two hours earlier than their normal 6 hour newscast that starts at 5 am Saturdays. And they sent Jessica Holmes she started reporting from London yesterday.
C Block 1566 Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 CNN Newsource is offering live coverage. Unless if WHDH sent someone over there themselves, if they're a CNN affiliate, then that's probably where it's coming from. Rylee Carlson, Kristen Holmes, and Camila Bernal will be providing custom live shots for CNN affiliates.
TheRolyPoly 2577 Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 KTLA starts their coverage at 3 AM Saturday. Two hours earlier than their normal 6 hour newscast that starts at 5 am Saturdays. KTLA usually starts at 6am on weekends.
Northerner 32 Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 CNN Newsource is offering live coverage. Rylee Carlson, Kristen Holmes, and Camila Bernal will be providing custom live shots for CNN affiliates. Pool feed on one of the live channels, reporter custom on the other or send your own reporter to the CNN camera (or...send them there with an ENG shooter and a Dejero if you're feeling really adventurous) and have a panel back in studio. And/or send another crew out to a local watch party.
