Yep!!!

Rich Liberman is stupid for posting it as an "EXCLUSIVE" when I already knew about this, 20 days ago!

You should tell him...and watch him flip out.

I would pay to see that.

Your second paragraph says it all. You're not first if you're quoting someone else!!!

And I believe there has been an instance where you reported something after another one of those websites reported it, but still classified it as "first".

Stations say only on and first on all the time even if another station has it... It's not a big deal apparently.

Since the Feds were recently granted the its request to block the sale, Freedom changed course and accepted a $52M bid from runner-up bidder Digital First Media. The bankrupt court approved that sale on Monday.

Digital First Media closed on its acquisition of the last two Freedom papers yesterday. And as a result of the completion of the sale, its editor from the Register and 70 other workers were laid off.

At last. The "lit torch" has finally been extinguished.

Freedom.

There's soon going to be an anchor change in Cleveland's WEWS ABC 5. IT'S NO APRIL FOOL'S JOKE!

It's not a done deal, but word is that Sports Director/Anchor Rob Powers of New York's WABC-TV is heading to Cleveland to succeed Chris Flanagan who's contract is not renewed. Powers who was hired at ABC flagship station in New York worked in Ohio before, he was the 5:30PM news anchor and 6 & 11PM sports anchor at WTVG in Toledo. WEWS can't say on Flanagan's future with the station, but look for something soon.

Now this is the same Chris that they moved legendary anchor Leon off the 6 p.m. newscast for a few years ago so Chris could anchor the 6 and 11 p.m. news instead of only anchoring the latter for the first couple of years. To me he wasn't that good but he was the former news director hire. She fired and moved a lot of people who worked their for years around to get ratings and they still suffer ( hence her getting fired). She blew up the morning team and for two new people who unfortunately left as well.

KTNV in Las Vegas is now branding it's weather forecasts as... First Alert Weather! Shocking, I know. At least the opening graphic looks decent.

The graphic makes me think that it's being held up together by two wrenches.

First the GM is leaving, then Tyler Sieswerda is leaving as well, and now the news director? What the H is going on at KVUE?

Not to mention, falling to #2 in most timeslots now behind KXAN.

It looks a hell of a lot like it... Same shape for the same red bar, same First Alert lettering in the same spot. The Weather font is thinner and the station logo is different obviously but it's pretty darn the same.

I was more focused on his near obnoxious presentation...I don't like it.

Praytell,

Scripps in San Diego is "Weather Rate"...

Is there no in house weather branding loyality at Scripps?

I would think you could get more Weather Rate or First Weathers Alerts... if the station group purchased in bulk.

Kinda like Costco.

Who is the market leader now, KTBC?

Hopefully... this answers your question:

Not to mention, (KVUE) falling to #2 in most timeslots now behind KXAN.

And yet another Hearst station is adding news to replace the cancelled Vieira. This time, its KMBC.

The new hourly 4pm show will debut on April 25th.

And to follow WESH's footsteps, it'll also extend its primetime 9pm show that airs on KCWE to a full-hour. That'll also be implemented on the same day.

Sounds like the new norm a syndicated show get cancelled the station starts a 4pm news. It seems certain groups are news heavy while others groups bask at the 4pm hour w/ Judge Judy, Oz, Phil, Ellen. Are there any stations carrying Ins Edition, EXTRA, Access Hollywood at 4 or 4:30?
