TheRolyPoly 3510 Posted October 24, 2025 Posted October 24, 2025 If my information is correct, it looks like WJCL Savannah, KCCI Des Moines, and WAPT Jackson are the last ones yet to have switched, and considering the rollout has been pretty much every two weeks or so, I expect them to get it by then. 4

You can add WAPT to the list
HearstArgyleFan90 46 Posted October 25, 2025 Posted October 25, 2025 Um, WAPT is still using the Diagrid V2 graphics, and this open is from August 30.

MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 1158 Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 Do we know when KCCI gets this? It seems like it's taking forever. Do they need an upgrade of some sorts?

kfc513 259 Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 KCCI now has the new graphics. WAPT and WJCL appear to be the two remaining holdouts.

Kyle R 46 Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 So now that they're all launched, which stations do we think have the best implementation?

I hate that I'm always so negative on here (but enough years in the local TV business will do this to you). I mean... it's barely an upgrade and they all look exactly the same. I don't think anyone really stands out here. I also don't know that it is a bad thing. They seem to rule with an iron fist when it comes to standardization, something that some of the other station groups aren't great at. Also, not to go off on a tangent, but does anyone else think it's weird that WCVB still has an old, very dated looking set? They're supposedly a Hearst "flagship". 3

They did a major renovation to their newsroom and I assumed the studio would follow, guess not. In other news, it looks like Hearst is finally giving WJCL a new set. They have been doing one anchor in front of a close monitor shot for about three weeks now.
