After some people have been pondering for almost a year this question:

When will KOTV 6 in Tulsa finally get a new set after their sister station KWTV just down the Pike got theirs last September?

We finally have our answer https://www.newson6.com/story/685db2b747edbfd2ad80ecd3/news-on-6-tulsa-new-set-debut

Finally! The temp set is similar to the one 9 has as well.

KOTV’s set is about to debut this evening. Set is the same that sister station KWTV has but has some tweaks such as the wall by the big 6 logo has a backdrop of Downtown Tulsa, the Bob Mills Weather Center doesn’t have the led crawl above the wall like 9’s and they have a telestrator screen for weather to use during severe weather coverage while 9 doesn’t have that.

Not terrible at all, but why would they use seamless video screens, then monitors in the background?

My guess is that they wanted that window look but ran out of funds to throw at AV. And they didn't want static graphics, so the next option was a monitor array. It could also be that those are repurposed monitors too.

The "seamed monitors" actually look like a static element, not actual monitors.

They sets are ok. But being frank, i dont really like the Weather Centers  at KOTV and KWTV. They are quite boring.  Particuarly when you think about how extensive and large the previous versions were. These are a massive step down. I think the open working areas that were on display previously showed how serious they took the weather coverage. It made it feel important. This just feels kinda ehhhhh.

Those are monitors.
