One of the targets of SS's fashion analysis, Ron Corning, has been the morning co-anchor in recent years for WFAA (ABC in Dallas). Since reading through this thread I've been looking in on Daybreak sometimes to see how Ron is doing (since SS is in another market). I think Ron might have held on to the dreaded/hated gray suit that SS couldn't deal with. For the most part, I've seen no one in the DFW market violating any of SS's guidelines on male fashion of late, even Ron. I don't think I've even seen one bottom button on a jacket buttoned here. A couple of semi-loud ties once in a while here or there, and a weatherman not wearing a suit jacket while doing a pre-weather-segment tease sometimes (which does come off a bit unprofessional at times), but overall, no sloppyness or major faux-pas that I've come across lately. Oh, those were the days... Actually, Forrest was at WAGA, at the time still the CBS station here in Atlanta.
