Why don't you ask the mods about that? Take a nice read through the thread and you will see that this thread brought this site a ton of on-air mentions and visits from New York News staff memebers. And what has your brilliant contribution to this community been?

And once again Lee was guest Weather God on GMA. And something has happened...

Attention Men of New York City Televised News:

There is no reason to ever wear a suit and tie while on the air again. You can all wear bib overalls or a track suit. You can be naked.

Lee Goldberg dressed so smart and stylish this morning, there is no reason for any of you mortals to ever bother trying again.

That is all.

Prepare thyself Telly...once seen, it cannot be unseen...and the rest of the world will never seem as beautiful after viewing his sartorial perfection....

I've been meaning to look up this thread for a while. I discovered it several weeks ago. One of the targets of SS's fashion analysis, Ron Corning, has been the morning co-anchor in recent years for WFAA (ABC in Dallas). Since reading through this thread I've been looking in on Daybreak sometimes to see how Ron is doing (since SS is in another market). I think Ron might have held on to the dreaded/hated gray suit that SS couldn't deal with. For the most part, I've seen no one in the DFW market violating any of SS's guidelines on male fashion of late, even Ron. I don't think I've even seen one bottom button on a jacket buttoned here. A couple of semi-loud ties once in a while here or there, and a weatherman not wearing a suit jacket while doing a pre-weather-segment tease sometimes (which does come off a bit unprofessional at times), but overall, no sloppyness or major faux-pas that I've come across lately.

I can still remember the days when Forrest Sawyer was the local ABC anchor in Atlanta back in the 80s...so damn handsome, natty three-piece suits almost every day. Oh, those were the days...

Actually, Forrest was at WAGA, at the time still the CBS station here in Atlanta.

And while we're at it...check out John Pruitt from 1976 (joined alongside some young newcomer named Monica)!!
