KXTV in April 1992, this look probably just had been rolled out: I can possibly assume this was the same company that did KRON’s and WOWT’s 2D graphics due to the former being in nearby San Francisco. No idea what happened to her after her departure from WTSP in 1992.

No station in the US would be broadcasting in 16:9 in the analog era. This must be something the uploader or YouTube did. It would be technically impossible unless they were broadcasting a letter boxed feed. However many cameras and technology were only 4:3.

It was first used on channel 9 in Denver (KBTV/KUSA) during its ABC affiliate days. Mike Landess and Ed Sardella delivered the news, Stormy Rottman and Bill Kuster did weather, and Mike Nolan did sports. I especially love the KUSA 9 Country News Opens, which featured the golden pipes of Mr. ABC himself Ernie Anderson. 3
