WIS Channel 10 (NBC Columbia, SC): The 7:00 Report, for Tuesday, Dec. 27, 1994 (WIS did a 7 P.M. edition back in the day, but I'm not sure if they still do that there; I know that WSPA here in my hometown does 7 News at 7, and IIRC, WCIV [ABC in Charleston, SC] does ABC News 4 at 7)

Coincidentally, Ed Carter passed away this morning at the age of 81 due to complications from COVID-19.

Very sad! I guess that WIS 1994 edition I posted is now historic in more ways than one.

I think before they became "The Southland's #1 News Team"... here is the June 13th, 1972 11pm edition of Eyewitness News..

From the Jenson Home.... yes.. in a home.

See the comments for details... and dont expect Cool Hand Luke to be playing in the open either..

Freaking Warner Music Group slapped a worldwide block on this clip. I was hoping to show this to a  curious friend.

Looks like Brad Harvey did main news and weather, and Dale Witte was on sports (how many stations these days, if any, have the main anchor also doing weather?).

Not many! Kari Lake at KSAZ has spot filled in at times when necessary, but...that's spot duty.

KOLR weather and close from 1986 with the unique "The Quest" theme music they used at the time (and uploaded by Ted Keller himself):

Full CBS News coverage (w/local coverage from KPIX in San Francisco) of the Bush/Dukakis election from November 8, 1988:

And some classic Pete Wilson anchoring for KGO thrown in there before the KPIX clips - great find

Two classic WSVN clips. The latter has a short but sweet version of WSVN's version of Come home to NBC.

WSVN 1988 Newscenter 7 Tonight

WSVN 1986 commercials including Newsbreaks.

Compare to the '87 & 88 intro of WSVN's 11pm News intro. You'll notice the difference in the NewsCenter 7 Tonight opening. The NBC peacock on their Satellite truck (Skycom 7) in the 1988 11pm open was removed knowing that 'SVN is losing its NBC affiliate to 'TVJ in 1989.

So Sad.

Wish they kept it till at least the fall of that year.
