Found another version of the 20/20 graphics of the 1989-90 season on ABC, this within commercials from WABC NYC, Friday, Oct. 20, 1989-- from what I'm seeing, this graphical sequence/opening of that ABC Downs/Walters magazine went through several revisions in how the stories on each Friday's broadcast were billed by Bob Cruz, and what baffles me is why.

Chuck Scarborough & Sue Simmons anchoring News Channel 4's Live at 5 on 9/11. It's always interesting to see how much or how little of network coverage aired in NYC.

WSVN 9/11/01. The station alternates between local coverage and fox news channel coverage. You seldom see them use any Fox News stuff now.

KOVR 70th Anniversary - well done, lots in their archive. Odd that I didn't see Stan Atkinson mentioned or in any of the footage...he's the most well known TV news personality in the area, and closed out his career there after the KCRA run. He did an interview earlier this summer with KOVR unrelated to the anniversary so odd he wasn't even in video footage.

Stan was in there at 5:05 with Jennifer Whitney.  Not mentioned but shown.

Channel 10 Australia late news (9/11/01)

Just as people were going to to bed down under, news of the first plane crash hits at 13:18. Ironically at 20:00 there's a chocolate bar ad featuring a man who is sucked out of an airplane window.

Interestingly, the second plane crash is not shown as 10 going to commercials.

Great find and did you order VHS, Beta and Betamax tapes from eBay most often?

I recently moved to Idaho. So Boise is the 'default' local market now. I still have several hundred tapes to convert, a majority of which are Yakima (my old market).

Good evening, everyone! Well, you never know what you will find on YouTube...especially when it comes to rare content never before seen.

Back on September 4th, 1977, WSLS-TV 10's Action News featured a sportscast done by Bob Paine. The anchor you see at the beginning is Richard Dean who, according to Bob Paine, was on his first or second week on the job.

What you are about to see is rare WSLS material. Why is that? Because it features the sports segment along with the close to that very newscast. The theme that WSLS used back in 1977 was "On Top of It All" by Mayoham Music.

The video is courtesy of Bob Paine who uploaded it on his YouTube channel.

A weekend edition, this one, per the date (just looked it up); also the billing of the talent had Bill Murray (off for that one), Mike Brookins and Rich Becker in front of curtains as the announcer billed them.
