  1. Past hour
  2. I was just noticing that too. I wonder how long until they start combining newsrooms. In Carterville/Harrisburg/Paducah/Cape Girardeau, WSIL is still operating independently of KFVS and in Evansville, WEVV is still operating independently of WFIE. I don't know how a combined brand might work in S IL/W KY, but Evansville folks may get another awful brand name like Nexstar did with WEHT/WTVW being Eyewitness News (at least they dropped the "WEHT Local" and "Local 7" brands after a while and reverted to ABC25 and CW7). Bracing for something like TRISTATE NEWS NOW or EVANSVILLE NEWS NOW. Or maybe they'll surprise us and just move everything to WFIE (NBC, CBS, and Fox) and make WEVV collection of OTA subchannel networks...
  3. Today
  4. I suspect she'll be the next to leave CBS.
  5. WLFI and WTHI (but not WTVA or any of the others yet, probably soon) have moved to the Gray template on their websites.
  6. Fox on 6th Ave or Fox on 67th St?
  7. WVIR joins the club.
  8. Passing by Times Square today and the whole studio was gutted and it looks like the ribbon will be gone soon. Nothing left at Lincoln Square also. Front of Fox is also getting a major rehab. Just strange but everything was getting tired and worn-out.
  9. I got fake money it will Margaret Brennan. Then again I’m sure no will touch that chair with a 10 foot pole
  10. Honestly, there's no reason Premus, Scafidi, Buganski and Moreno should be anchoring outside of filling in on occasion. Jackson should have been cut long ago. They could have easily divided things up between the core anchor group and been fine. They're going younger (and cheaper) with these new hires; so vets like Perez aren't 'the future' of Fox 32 News. She's closing in on 10 yrs at Fox 32 this October (I believe); so I wouldn't be surprised if she leaves in the near future. Hopefully she gets a proper sendoff whenever the time comes. Now that the Noon show has been cut, the only newscast(s) I watch regularly are the 4P (and some of the 5P). Too bad they couldn't paired Lee with someone else at 11A.
  11. Yesterday
  12. As you might know, Glen Walker will be the newest person on the FOX 11 airwaves and he will be introduced tonight (6/10) on during the 5 & 6pm newscasts on FOX 11 and on the 8 & 9pm newscasts on FOX 11 Plus, KCOP. Then tomorrow night (6/11), he will start anchoring some of the newscasts. He has been hired as a per-diem anchor, meaning that he will not have a regular broadcast time, but hopefully we will see him on a frequent basis.
  13. And to quote Paul Konrad form when he was making fun at one of Fox's promos targeting WGN a while back, "That'll put them on a rocket ship straight to third place".
  14. Australia +1 timeshift channels don't exist in much places, like the UK. Network 10, however, will try it on August 10th with 10+1. Basically, its Network 10 an hour later. https://www.linkedin.com/safety/go/?url=https%3A%2F%2Flnkd.in%2Fgtq7gwvc&urlhash=VJVY&mt=2Fl_qTjWDZNdT4cMN2Jav4LjwhIaq4Q0cuZgEmGSk10Lh5LnFCRTI4MokmMuteW0IJ-ZbPOa96PSnC9Sw9bI-inTz-OoZa69f9NcLeMv95wGVvUKPZJPUE1DVA&isSdui=true
  15. I forgot that Se Kwon was in this wave. I like Moreno, though not so much as an anchor. Scafidi should be doing weekend mornings, not middays. Not a slight, just seems better for her vibe. I like Buganski as "some guy," but yeah, I'm trying to figure out how and where he slots in that makes most sense. Sylvia doing just the one show now makes me wonder what her/their long-term plan is. Even without a late co-anchor, they're feeling just a bit bloated. Jackson, Premus, Ponce, Bomke, Ewing, Lee, Scafidi, Blanton, Perez, Hasbrouck, Buganski & Moreno (unofficially official) on Friday nights, plus Hamilton & Placko.
  16. Big changes for Altitude Sports next season on the Nuggets broadcasts with PBP voice Chris Marlowe & analyst Scott Hastings out. Hastings will still be around keeping his 2nd gig as a host on Altitude Sports Radio 92.5's Polumbus, Hastings, and Dmac early afternoon weekday show from Noon-3 MT. Katy Winge & studio host Vic Lombardi will stay, wouldn't be surprised if Katy becomes a full-time game analyst. https://www.denverpost.com/2026/06/10/nuggets-broadcast-chris-marlowe-scott-hastings-fired/
  17. The Fubo-NBC dispute is over. It should be noted that the new deal includes the current NBCSN and doesn't include the Versant networks: https://ir.fubo.tv/news/news-details/2026/Fubo-Announces-Distribution-Agreement-With-NBCUniversal/default.aspx
  18. Sounds like it. Liberte made her debut today:
  19. Toolis was a 2 year and done that came here from Seattle. Nothing bad but nothing special either. She is a south side native so that’s always a plus when they are local.
  20. CBSMV is developing a new daytime talker for fall 2027 with Jonathan Scott.
  21. Again it seems the "fix" was in on this approval. Word came down from the WH, and Carr was all too eager to comply.
  22. Toolis would actually be the 5th reporter(/anchor) they have hired recently. I’m glad they have finally decided to beef up their roster of reporters. Also, Dane has shifted back to primary focusing on investigative reporting it seems (in addition to anchoring Saturday nights). He rarely makes an appearance during the week. The new hires have been a mixed bag, imo. Kwon and Moreno are solid, but Buganski and Scafidi are meh.
  23. That contradicts what happened - how can they say they lack standing when the board didn't approve, when the transaction is "done"? The FCC is trying to make up rules on the fly?
  24. KCST (KNSD) Newscenter 39 1978 coverage of the crash of PSA flight 182 WWOR UPN 9 News 1995 News theme and package
  25. Lauren Scafidi is permanent from 11-1. Two new hires, yesterday, as well. As Cassie & Tina moved up, Sam Panayotovich (WGN Radio, Fox Sports) joins as the third-stringer. Also joining is reporter Brittany Toolis (WXYZ) as a morning reporter, thus filling out the 4 reporter hires we knew were coming (Buganski, Moreno, Scafidi).
  26. Looks like Marla Tellez no longer anchors the 6pm and 8-10pm LA LIVE, she anchoring new streaming shows at Noon and 3pm
  27. Chicago's Morning News almost sounds like the newscast WGN titled back in the day.
  28. Last week
  29. Nexstar, FCC ask D.C. court to toss legal challenge over TEGNA acquisition Here's hoping the court disagrees.
