  2. WBKO NewsCenter 13 at 10:00 (February 8, 1988) WNDU NewsCenter 16 at 11:00 (July 4, 1986) WNDU NewsCenter 16 at 11:00 (March 17, 1991) WWMT News 3 at 11:00 (February 1, 1991)
  3. WDIV will probably get the affiliation it’s kinda impossible to land somewhere else. So I see why Mission wants to close.
  4. Here are the options: Any Windsor, Ontario stations are an big NO. WJBK is an bit of an problem, they could put the MyNet program service on 2.2 or an its main signal on late nights. WDIV is the most likely. WXYZ, WKBD, WWJ, WADL, WMYD, or any other station won't be an option.
  5. Honestly, I hope Mission gets stuck with this station. As much of a hot mess Kevin Adell is, I think Nexstar got in way too deep after getting full control of the CW. Unless Nexstar sells off 7-8 percent of population reach, they're stuck with a station that can't even air the entire CW output. That's probably a good reason Sinclair hasn't bought a network (like MyNetwork). Surprised it hasn't hit Ion/Scripps as well since they're way over the line in reach. Getting the CW in Detroit is going to be even harder than CBS had to scramble in 1994. At least they stayed on Channel 62! So far, CW has bounced from WKBD....to WADL....to WMYD...and who knows after that? (WDIV as a subchannel is probably the likeliest....)
  6. Early Today with new graphics and aligned with the Today Show graphics package:
  7. Wow, looks like even for an SPC High Risk day and at least 7 active tornado warnings. TWC isn't going to do full overnight coverage. Todd Borek came in and did coverage from like 1am-1:30am ET, but right now, they're back to long-form. Their competitors at Fox Weather are no better. They dropped live coverage at 12am ET. They're just running automated weather maps ever since. Guess the days of overnight tornado coverage are over, across the board. Only hurricanes will keep the networks up all night from now on.
  8. Oops, did I seriously say w. I can't make that mistake here again. I will get thrown off the island.
  9. Other stations including News12NJ reported this last Friday.
  10. A newstruck belonging to PIX11 struck 3 pedestrians in New Jersey. The victims are expected to be OK https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2024/5/5/nexstar-news-van-hits-3-pedestrians
  11. Just wondering, most of the Hearst stations I've seen seem to be using him and WBAL seems to have recently switched to using him as their main VO after having Bill Ratner for the longest time.
  12. The 5:00 and 6:00 opens and talent rejoins for KBJR are absolutely beautiful. Personal opinion that KBJR's appearance fell way behind WDIO under their Quincy ownership... This brings them back!
  13. Yesterday
  14. I have to agree that both KBJR and WTVG were given great improvements from their previous graphics. The WTVG open looks fantastic while KBJR's use of GrayONE was fantastic. Now, it will be interesting to see how other Gray stations will look with GrayONE.
  15. They look REALLY good! Also, I LOVE the open for WTVG ! Not trying to be negative (sorry in advance?) but I am just keeping my fingers crossed that WOIO 19 doesn't use the WWBT red when they switch.... From past experiences, I have a bad feeling that they will. So much red. But the other colors are great on the other stations. WBJR did a fantastic job!
  16. Even more billable hours are coming... https://www.nexttv.com/news/owner-of-wadl-urges-mission-to-close-station-purchase
  17. All the best Mike Seidel in the next chapter shame that he got the ax at TWC.
  18. I thought that it be Stadium since Jerry owns Stadium that he bought the stake from Sinclair for White Sox, Bulls, & Blackhawks. I didn't think that Standard General would buy the rights for the White Sox, Bulls & Blackhawks guessing that is coming from Soo Kim.
  19. And Wood TV got rid of The Grio on DT3 for Defy last Wed.
  20. I knew that Beavers & WSU 10 games each on The CW was rumored a few months ago that The CW was getting their home games and Fox gets 3 games from both schools.
  21. It's a great improvement for KBJR from the few minutes that I just watched online. They have not gone full GrayOne with the weather graphics yet, however. Looking forward to watching on TV at 5!
  22. WTVG and KBJR have both gone GrayOne.
  23. Mike Seidel is one of the casualties. https://weatherboy.com/mike-siedel-axed-others-pushed-out-at-weather-channel-as-downsizing-hits-network/ With cuts like these and Allen Media trying to infiltrate their own low-rent programming, it's best to let the major companies pass on Byron Allen's involvement. We don't need another Sinclair or Nexstar to run a cheap operation with a lot of reach. These employees are getting screwed with their severance and what quality they put out now could be further in question.
  24. They only play each other once. The rest are for their remaining home games against other teams. They are not eligible for their championship game.
  25. In reality, this wisp of a conference has a scheduling alliance with the Mountain West and will be eligible for their championship game. (Just making sure everybody's on the same page as to the actual contents of this TV package.)
