  1. More mid '80s WVUE, including another CONUS Newstar promo, show promos, and a Hurricane Tracking Map spot w/Bob Breck.

  3. Maybe they can call Susan Barnett back as main anchor. She was liked and kept it kinda stable after the Alycia Lane and Mandte incident. I think Susan still lives in Philly area since her husband is a Doctor.

  6. Seemed like a second hour of “Live” with some elements of the 8am hour GMA mixed in. Nothing unique, but also not terrible. I will say Michael Strahan is in his element and does a great job on GMA Day, as opposed to when ABC News sticks him into the middle of hard news situations.

  8. Instead of doing a news update during the late halftime show, WFLD carried the second segment of the Visa halftime report and then did a brief local segment with the Bears Gameday Live crew during the ensuing commercial break. Does anybody remember if WFLD did a news update during the week 1 late halftime show?

  9. WBAL initially had a 7-8AM Show but it was axed when they launched the 4:30 newscast. It was successful enough for them to launch the 10PM newscast. The morning show lasted 3 years, 3 months and 10 days (10/03/2011-01/12/2015). The ratings were minimal in the beginning apparently but good enough for them to launch the 10PM five months later. I think the 7AM show was axed perhaps because of contractual reasons - but that’s just a guess. Anyway there’s a neat WBAL logo style I haven’t seen before promoting Matter of Fact: And maybe slightly updated graphics package: I learned that the show is edited and put together down by HTV design. I would of thought the DC Bureau would be in charge of the program.

  10. Impactful and original reporting also registers. Only 12 provides that on the most consistent basis.

  11. WISN has no sister station, and only has a single digital subchannel, 12.2, which is currently the Justice Network (previously "Movies!"). WISN does not air news or any other local programming on 12.2. (WISN was also notable for being extremely late to add a digital subchannel in the first place. 12.2 didn't begin until August 2014.)

  12. I focused on the subchannels, not main stations themselves (ex. KHBS-DT2/KHOG-DT2 and not WKCF, KCWE, etc.) to prove a point that Hearst likes to add news on subchannels and not just on a main station itself.

  13. Was Cecilia Vega in for Michael this morning on the mothership GMA? I wonder if it was just because GMA Day premiered today. Also, Whit seems to have become a permanent third anchor on weekend GMA.

  14. It operated from the GMA playbook, and it certainly fits the one-hour format better. Did it feel a little like 'Live'? Yes, but a cohosted show is always going to walk that line. Besides, I personally like Sarah and Michael more than their 9am counterparts, so it has that going for it. Keeping Carla Hall from 'The Chew' aboard as a contributor is a good move, but that might just be filling out a contract.

  15. Erin Conrad who was the weekend evening anchor at KOTV has left the station and is now at KJRH joining former Channel 6 employees Scott Thompson and Tony Russell who she worked with.
