  1. Much like the Steve Sanders vacancy, I bet Nexstar is required to post all of their job openings to the general public, even if they have no intention of hiring from outside. I still think one of the two Bradleys will get the position.

  3. That's why you have stations airing those EEO compliance notices all the time (including a year-end doc involving which channel the accepted applicant came from); it's an FCC requirement, even though most of the time nobody attending a mass general job fair will get a job with a television station. For most of them, it's community lip service to satisfy license requirements, at best.

  6. More news out of WALA. News Director Scott Flannigan has been named to the same post at Meredith sister station KCTV in Kansas City. https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2020/6/18/bumped-up-the-meredith-food-chain I guess they'll have to hire someone in Mobile....oh wait, aren't they under a hiring freeze? Then again, they bounced their GM to bring in someone else a few weeks back....

  7. Wow, picking fights with any of your colleagues is a bad move, especially someone as established and well-respected as Jovita Moore. Sounds like WSB isn't losing much on the radio side.

  8. I'd had given anything for even just an hour for WLS's 50th (as Eyewitness News, or as WLS), but we only got a 2-minute web-only hodgepodge of YouTube clips, in "celebration" of their 70th anniversary on the air. Such a disappointment, compared to the other O&O's.
