Just to clarify that peacock variant is actually a transition as the L3 comes into view. It starts out colorful over the whole L3 then shrinks down to the bottom and transitions to 2 shades of blue and red for breaking news at the bottom. It doesn't stay that way. I was trying to capture the transition element although I really wouldn't mind seeing it like this.

WMAQ has updated its graphics as of their 4pm newscast. Below are a few screenshots. Surprised we're the first ones to change.

I'm pretty sure they commissioned that look before anyone else. Here's how it looked in 1992, about a month after they moved into their current building:

Shirleen being off the 12 isn't that weird. She had a very similar schedule during her previous pregnancies, especially as she came closer to giving birth. Sam is likely just getting ready for the Pride March on Sunday. With all of the promos they've been putting out lately, I find it highly unlikely that anyone is leaving. It's the summer, and most anchors take more vacation time, especially those with kids. Mind you, Candace McCowan will be going on maternity leave around the same time as Shirleen. I can see Michelle Charlesworth handling the newscasts during the week while Shirleen is on leave with Toni Yates or Lauren Glassberg doing weekends

More flat nonsense - how much we've regressed from the Pyburn pinnacle at WNBC Make use of light and how attractive it is on lit screens. Get rid of white backgrounds - those are made for paper, too harsh on the eye with a lit screen.

Both anchors are now sitting at the desk as of 4PM today.

These look very good if not great. The change from mainly blue is a refreshing one. Can't wait for these to reach WCAU.

Great update of Look N!!!! It looks very good and, as said, it mixes elements of that look, Look G and the NECN graphics. I wonder if they were planned to debut for the delayed 2020 Olympics, but, honestly, they update their O&O graphics every Olympic cycle.

I see elements of Look N, Look G, and even the Nightly look. It's a really good evolution to Look N that really cleans up the presentation.

Then you live in a delusional world. He’s on a channel that broadcasts conspiracy theories and baseless allegations. Have you seen his Twitter account? Some of his tweets are borderline controversial/racist. I was never a fan of his and believed he only got the job because his dad was police commissioner. But despite his following while he was on GDNY, his image is now tainted.

Probably the latter is more likely than the former.
