  1. Maybe they’re doing all sorts of rehearsals and the like behind-the-scenes. Assuredly a lengthy series of mock newscasts to try to iron out any bugs and glitches and make sure everyone knows what they are doing. You can’t just flip a switch and instantly have a round-the-clock news service right off the bat.

  2. Let's not forget the late, and equally legendary Wendy Reiger, who passed away earlier this year.

  4. They have been using the 2016 look for Eye on Detroit, even when they still went by CBS 62.

  5. Pretty much this, it’ll likely be a mishmash of things until something permanent can finally be rolled out. WWJ is going to be the interesting one here, given they never really used the 2016 pack to any sort of degree prior.

  7. CBS News Detroit should have a launch date very soon. Maybe in a week or two. Word is, they are very close. The new set is either done or very close to being done.

  8. Great to see that Detroit's fab four (Mort, Carmen, Chuck and Bernie) are still doing well! WDIV did a great job putting this together!

  9. Like the 9am newscasts that launched in September, there's still no guarantee that the full look will roll out with this launch. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves.

  10. Well, with the name and launch date for the KCAL morning show finally out of the bag, it’s looking like KCBS/KCAL could be the first to launch the new O&O graphics and rebrand December 5th. (h/t @CaptainNews)

  11. I know this is a bit of a long shot, but I’d like to see Hosea Sanders get it (if he wants it, that is.) He had great chemistry with Judy in the mornings and with Cheryl when they did the 7pm on WCIU. Plus, he’s been there for years.

  12. I do like the new ABC logo, but not the size of it. Rather the ABC size be same size as the 7 logo and be right beside it. Like CBS 2 for example. By 2033, we should have this logo.

  13. Sad news out of Denver, former KUSA sports anchor Mike Nolan has passed away after a brief illness he was 85. https://www.9news.com/article/news/local/9news-sportscaster-mike-nolan-dies-85/73-1446e700-661d-4962-9595-d668965490ec https://coloradonewscenter.blogspot.com/2022/11/former-9news-sports-anchor-mike-nolan.html
