  2. PIX11 has resumed streaming their newscasts live and they have added the PIX11+ app for TV streaming. https://pix11.com/pix11-is-now-available-on-roku-amazon-fire-tv-and-apple-tv/

  3. Interesting how WWJ as a CBS O&O is giving up Drew Barrymore (moving to WDIV) and Entertainment Tonight. I never understood why WWJ didn't put ET at 7pm or 7:30 like most CBS O&Os.

  4. Will be nice to have Inside Edition not stuck in overnights, but wouldn’t it make more sense to have both Drew episodes on in the daytime instead of Daytime Jeopardy?

  5. She was in for Heather the other morning. Wonder if she’s a permanent add to the 4:00?

  6. There will be a primetime special airing Thursday night (reairing on Labor Day morning) honoring the late game show host. There'll never be another TV giant like this one. A true legend. May he rest in peace.

  7. DBL previously aired on WTMJ from 2018-2020 (at 1:35am so few ever noticed), and Access continues to not air on the date it was produced and before primetime; I think outside WTMJ during their post-Sony game show schedule flailing, it never has, though Access Live/Daily is now a noontime staple on WVTV.

  8. Would you believe tomorrow is the 24th anniversary of when they first used the current theme. That’s some low-key longevity.

  9. Yes, Brittany Bell is now doing the 4:30am, 5am and 5:30am weather going forward. Sam Champion is doing the 6am, 10am and Noon.

  10. Don't know if this was ever posted here. WDIV formerly WWJ, released a documentary on the history of the station. It was refreshingly trasparent and honest about the station's strengths and flaws. Graham stations look really good compared to Nexstar, Sinclair and Gray.

  11. The Eyewitness News name will likely never return because of the controversy associated with the name as well as the antics Dunn and Friend pulled at KYW.

  12. Pittsburgh and KDKA as long discussed is an exception using "KDKA News" because that's how they've been for decades, and to fight off Audacy's well-poisoning on the AM side. It's also appropriate here because channel 19 had no history in Pittsburgh before the move from Johnstown to Jeanette, so it's a clean slate to work from for them. It also doesn't have a market-wide pay TV channel number, so branding it as "Pittsburgh 19" would be senseless.

  13. Also, WCCO doesn't seem to have any issues breaking in with weather programming as needed- and they don't have a second channel to throw CBS to either...

  14. Funny, WBZ doesn't seem to have a problem shoving CBS programming over to WSBK when needed.

  15. I would reference a 62 just for traditional viewers to be able to find the station. Yes, 62 is not the 'sexiest' number for a channel brand...but it's unique.

  16. "The Big Bang Theory" moves to KIAH here in Houston starting September 4 at 6:00pm CST. Also, "Who the Bleep is That" and "People Puzzler" are going to KTXH at the respective times of 3:00pm and 4:30pm/1:30am. More updates to come...

  17. It was: 12noon: John & Sarah 4pm: Walter & Sarah 5pm: Gray & Christie 6pm: Sarah 10pm: Walter 11pm: Gray I get what you’re all saying, but in that same hierarchy and line of reasoning, Sarah should’ve been the fill-in at 11pm, and someone should’ve filled in at noon for her. Or when Rick is off, Brian should fill in for him and someone should fill in for Brian then. Just seems stupid. I know, I’m nitpicking over something stupid.

  18. So I realize that yesterday was a holiday full of fill-ins, but what’s the purpose of having Walter fill in for Gray (and Sharrie) at 10pm, only to have Gray fill in at 11pm for Rick?

  19. Sounds like it, but it will only be available (for now) via the MAX streaming service while NBC News Now, ABC News Live, etc.. are widely available on other platforms (Roku, Tubi, Pluto, etc..). They would have been better off scaling back CNN+ to reduce costs rather than completely shutting it down. Plus, unless CNN Max gets a prominent banner and/or link on the main page of MAX, it’s going to get lost in the shuffle.

  20. KLTV is expanding their 11AM newscast to an hour, moving Jeopardy to 3:30PM there. The Kelly Clarkson Show gets moved to 2PM, while InvestigateTV airs at 3PM.

  21. Haven't seen much changes, but it looks like Tamron is moving to WUPW from WNWO starting Monday and WNWO is apparently running infomercials for now in the noon hour. Also, WTVG is going in-house replacing Rachel with Investigative TV+ and WTOL is adding a 4 PM newscast to replace Dr. Phil. Didn't know Court Cam was going into syndication.

  22. https://www.tvpassport.com/tv-listings/stations/cbs-wwj-detroit-mi/128/2023-09-11 Starting September 11th, CBS News Detroit at 9 am moves to a full hour and a rerun of CBS News Detroit at 11 pm replaces Entertainment Tonight at 1:37 am. Looks like Family Feud will be the only syndicated program left on WWJ.

  23. Yeah they’d be called “Whitewitness News” at times. The destroy the purpose and legacy of the brand for them.

  24. Pittsburgh’s WPCW is set to be branded as KDKA+. Seems contradictory to the push to deemphasize legacy brands. With Neeraj Khemlani out the door, does this mean the end of “CBS News+City” branding? How long until Eyewitness News returns to KYW? https://triblive.com/aande/movies-tv/tv-talk-channel-19-to-re-brand-as-kdka-change-call-letters/
