I can't see Megan moving back for a weekend morning slot. Not clear that she would at all, but it would be great. I could see Raegan getting the weekend morning slot. But remember that they already dumped John from the weekday morning slot when they gave it to Elise. Does her unfortunate death change their mind, or is he just there temporarily? I would be surprised for Raegan to get the weekday slot, so they would probably look for someone else. Also, while Craig Allen is great, I think that's just temporary.

She is probably Derick Waller's replacement, as his last day was 10/3. He said it was all his decision, as after 6 years of getting up at 2am, he needed a change. Hope to see him at another station soon, as he is an excellent reporter. Lindsay was great at NY1; good pickup by WABC. Always love her New Year's Eve segments with her dad Gary Tuchman on CNN.

TNT did a slight, curious change to their branding, with the scoreboard now having a "TNT Sports" logo Which, in turn, seems a bit similar to the new TNT Sports branding introduced in the UK

I hope Haley Meier enjoyed her one day off yesterday. She was on Thursday and Friday in for Kelly Costa, hosted her own show Sat/Sun, filled in for Kelly Costa again on Monday, had Tuesday off, and filled in for Steve Bender today. I think today was her first time hosting one of the regularly-scheduled weekday live shows, as opposed to the pre-recorded loop style of shows, or the overnight special hurricane coverage, that she has hosted to date. If my calculations are correct, Marissa Torres is one month or less away from maternity leave. If Steve Bender is going to be hosting a new show, I wonder if that entails bringing an end to their current pairing.

Bob was about one person, Bob. When the powers that be had the “audacity” to launch subsequent syndicated editions of the show (85, 94), he all but pouted and stamped his feet on air. It was kind of comical in how petty it was. But whatever, Drew does a nice job of working in positive references, and heck, maintains the spay-your-pets plug.

Have they decided on Marza’s replacement? I feel like he’d be a good fit along Michelle.

Broken record but...I think stations should get away from morning news anchors having to do the noon because of that long stretch of hours, working from about 3:30 am to 1pm ish. If anything: TEAM A 4:30-7, GMA cut ins, 10am TEAM B: Noon, 4, 6 TEAM C : 5 & 11pm.

Yeah, in my opinion, it's probably WABC's hottest new show (by far more interesting than the First at 4 launch back in 2011) I personally am really becoming a big fan of this show! It's not a snoozer by any means. The new show is literally everything that I had hoped for and in some cases even better. The new laidback "down to earth" or "watercooler" format is just so refreshing to see and such a nice departure from the hard news. And what's nice is how dynamic the show can be in terms of the presentation and the adaptability of how they can always switch from the chill vibes and get serious when need be which really goes to show how they are really are professionals. The show has been on for about 3 weeks now. It's already almost a month in and it's such a solid show. I loved yesterday's segment with Jon DelGiorno flying NewsCopter 7 to discuss the story about the crane that collapsed back in July, over the city and just how he took the extra time to explain everything, as I was saying before, we now get to access more of the perspective of the reporter and presenters on this show which is so very refreshing, the viewer simply does not get that access during the other shows which is why this show is so refreshing and quite frankly the best thing I've seen WABC do in recent times because First at 4 honestly is just another newscast, I expected First at 4 to be like that, but Mornings at 10, really good. I hope it continues to evolve! The topics are solid not just boring trying too hard topics they are all compelling interesting stories and also the interviews they get to do with the local officials and talent and doctors, it really is almost like must-see TV. And because the talent are veterans and locals and WABC only hires the top-notch, you really get to hear their shared experiences, see their personalities, and get to know them on a bit more personable level, which is so cool. I also love how the producers purposely full-screen the camera on the presenters when they provide their perspective because it just again differentiates it from their ordinary newscast. Solid Job WABC with this show! Not to veer ofcourse here, but how are the sister stations doing? I believe there are two other O&Os that were gonna do this too. WPVI (6ABC in Philly) and WTVD (ABC 11 in Raleigh) how are they doing with their 10am shows? Do we know if they are following the same approach?

Once they got wpga in Macon (a stand alone metv station with no other purpose) it was clear they were launching some kind of statewide project

Network affiliation had nothing to do with KMTV picking up The Equalizer in syndication. Just pure coincidence.

At least they air it. And they stand out from the same clock time schedule that most NBC affiliates in all time zones use.

Didn't KSDK have a different branding just a couple years ago?? I can't remember what it was.. But it is silly to have 2 technically different weather brandings mashed into one.. Weather First Alert... Pushes the boundaries for sure.. I know there are a few other markets that have something similar to Weather First Alert, where they mash 2 brandings into 1 "unique" branding...

KMOV is taking KSDK to court over the First Alert Weather branding.

My guess is that it's a bit of ...'I didn't hire you, so you're gone and I get to bring in someone else (who's probably cheaper) with a mix of 'we need someone to do weather stories'. I figured that when they hired both Ramon and Jebaily that they both would be traveling the country reporting on hurricanes, tornado outbreaks, etc... Can't understand why they were fired in the first place.

Speaking of sharks, is the long-extinct Megalodon shark secretly lurking in the waters of the Pacific? Are marine biologists hiding something that the government doesn’t want you to know about? Hell if I know, but I’m sure we’re all just itching to find out on the next NewsNation exclusive. /s

I'm assuming this is the team actually purchasing time on KJZZ rather than Sinclair having the direct rights (though still holding marketing rights), which allows much more flexibility with the contract overall than they had with AT&TSN.
