  2. I'm not saying I necessarily disagree with some of the points Rosanna made. But, she (as usual) drifts into editorialization. Sanctuary "Trap" for example is a loaded title. "This is coming to a city near you, unfortunately" which she said, is also another iffy statement. That's fine for Fox News Channel, but very slippery for her already compromised 'neutral image' role on GDNY.

  3. Hello everyone, back with two newscasts. Here is our most recent one, released today, to sort of show we're working off of feedback, @Geoffrey I discovered a way in my editor that actually significantly increases each files' audio, hope it show's in this newscast and future one's as well. And our second to most recent episode, where we interviewed a member of our Board of Education, really proud with how the interview turned out, we used three cameras for that professional look, one camera on the interviewer, one on the guest, and one wide shot for both. Also, just today I updated our YouTube channel with new thumbnails! As always, all feedback, comments, questions, are welcome!

  4. Nexstar is opening the Nexstar Weather Center based in Dallas. Its job is to serve as a "relief hub" for its small/medium markets that have had stubborn openings for weekend meteorologists and allow the any full-time staff to take time off (as in several of these markets meteorologists are working 6-7 days a week). No word on a launch date (presumably later this year). These weather segments would be forecast and produced out of Dallas then sent out to that individual market. Multiple ways to think about this. One could argue if Nexstar has the time and resources to create an entirely new hub to provide relief for its small market meteorologists, it could also use those resources to make those weekend weather/MMJ jobs (which is what the vast majority of them are), more appealing to college grads or sub-3 year professionals. However, it also shows the struggles of small markets to hire anyone out of school since now top-50 markets are more than willing to do that themselves. Would you work in Lubbock, TX out of college, or Norfolk, VA?

  5. I'm surprised that Antenna TV and Rewind TV are not included in their FAST service.

  6. And they're even using Antenna TV's Facebook page to plug their latest washed-up host. Last I checked, Geraldo was not a classic sitcom. An 80s and 90s talk show, but not something Antenna TV carries. Good old Nexstar....

  7. I've never understood why New Orleans on Fat Tuesday is more like Halloween while Mobile sticks with the more traditional "Mardi Gras" dress with masks, beads, feathers, etc. Speaking of Mobile, WKRG did their traditional 9am to 5pm coverage, WALA ramped up their coverage from 7am all the way till 6:00 p.m. (they used to do 10-2), and WPMI, still ravaged from the Sinclair layoffs last year, did no coverage at all.

  8. Yep. This reminds me of what Fox did at Super Bowl LI a few years ago.

  9. Did they forget to load TT Norms in? That looks horrible.

  10. Trying to justify the purchase of what was an HD-era experimental channel otherwise bound for HC2 irrelevancy. The entire WHDT purchase made no sense from the start at all; sure, you get an overflow station, but what else can you do with that station outside guaranteeing full coverage for your subnets? The CW isn't moving, you've got WFLX and Fox already via sidecar, and the Ion flagship is just as sidecarred. I wouldn't be surprised if the purchase came with a Mar-a-Lago membership a la WLNY.

  11. I think it would most likely go to KPTM here in the Big O like they usually do, or if they’re “lucky enough”, one of the morning slots where Cutlers Court or Divorce Court usually is on CW Omaha (Maybe one of the timeslots with Maury, possibly).

  12. The tape delay ratings in the Indy market still beat out the live ratings in other markets. So for WISH, it would give them a huge boost.

  13. I wouldn’t bet on it. The live broadcast of the Indy 500 has been blacked out in Indianapolis for decades.

  14. If the rumors are true then good riddance to Chuck Todd. He's not a good moderator and asset to NBC. People on the left, right and center can't stand him. As for Guthrie, MTP would be a promotion for her and Craig Melvin can take her place as Co-Host with Hoda. But it's FTV Live, lets take it with a grain of salt.

  18. Was not sure whether to post this here or on our radio page of the forum… a broadcaster regardless… but one of the victims in the KC Super Bowl Parade shooting was a local radio host on KKFI-FM.
