  1. Good Lord, this whole discussion is not worth the webpage it's printed on. There's no grand conspiracy here. You have a brand new building, you show it off. Corporate paid for it, so why not? Heck, The View did a drone fly-through of the building on day 1, showing everything, including this atrium space. Beyond that, the end of March "eviction" for Live is the likely case, but Lord knows delays happen. I'm sure their plan was to be in the studio for the start of this month, but they couldn't, so they came up with a creative, reasonably attractive stopgap measure. Credit to the staff for making this work. I doubt there's anything more to it than that.

  2. I am sure WUSA9 is salivating at the chance to hire him. Kristen Pierce out at WISN after 3 years: https://www.jsonline.com/story/entertainment/television-radio/2025/04/08/wisn-tv-channel-12-co-anchor-kristin-pierce-leaves-milwaukee-station/82996318007/ This really shows the state of the business that a top-rated Hearst station can’t hold onto talent anymore. WISN has become a bit of a revolving door ever since the old guard started retiring.

  3. Given the amount of money that went into making 7 Hudson a reality, I’m not surprised they would take whatever opportunity to ‘showcase’ it whenever possible. Also, the official name of 7 Hudson is the ‘Robert A. Iger Building’, so there’s that….

  4. I decided to record the first three minutes of WBAY's noon news yesterday to see it in action for prosperity. Yes, I'm plan to do more videos like this again but not as consistent or as much as other YouTubers.

  6. Its not a good look when you replace someone who spent 20+ years at the station (Toya Washington) only for the replacement to suddenly leave after just 3 years (Kristen Pierce). I'm sorry to say this but WISN did Toya dirty. They should've given her more roles, including at 4pm, and the fact they never did or given her the 10pm on top of the 5pm, it makes them look dirty. I still like WISN 12 but something like this just makes you take a second look at them.

  7. The absolute KINDEST man in local television news. A well-deserved semi-retirement. Their Sunday Morning show is actually a highlight on a very blighted record thanks to him. As for WISN’s issues… no comment.

  8. I'm surprised they are buying the others too, since they would essentially be a local owner in Greenville.

  9. I would assume both DeMarco and Eva are safe, but you never know. With the rumors of Strahan likely leaving (at year’s end) and Stephanopoulos being unhappy; it sounds like there are bigger issues to worry about at GMA. Plus, there is speculation that Robin, George and Michael don’t want to take on an additional hour, so that may work in DeMarco’s and Eva’s favor (if the plan is to have 4 co-hosts).

  10. Call me a skeptic, but unless Bob Iger's ego is as fragile as Trump's, I don't buy "we wanted to show off the 10th floor of our new corporate building" that none of their viewers care about. Sounds like a post-hoc justification for unforeseen circumstances.

  11. Sam Champion confirmed the producers want to change up the GMA3 format and try different things. He and Lara are subbing in intentionally.

  12. WBAY is at Gray...Half right now. They have the ticker and the bug good to go, but the older-gen weather, main graphics and L3 system is still in use (I assume the plan is to have it all done by draft night on the 24th for sure). It actually still works together despite the two different design languages.

  16. I'm not either but the article does say and sound like WABG/WXVT/WNBD will be the flagship stations... "It’s an entity owned and operated by Webb Collums, who has a strong family history in media in southwest Mississippi and is currently invested in the Mississippi Delta region."

  23. Beyond the Gates covered by CBS Sunday Morning: The cinematography looks very different from other soaps. It's almost reminiscent of the soaps you see on OWN.

  24. They (DeMarco) still referred to the program as GMA3 in a teaser I saw this morning on WLS-TV (which also included the GMA3 logo). Plus, there is still a separate link/section for GMA3 on the main GMA website, so they haven’t completely given up on the name just yet.

  25. Another retirement announcement... WDBJ 7's Jean Jadhon after 33 years. She'll retire at the end of May. https://www.wdbj7.com/2025/04/08/jean-jadhon-announces-retirement-your-hometown-station/?fbclid=IwY2xjawJiZcNleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHhXhNgeZZI9HU-2ET9ChDuGEQyoWV72O4G2sB9VDfHg5dvFY4qnIA9sA7pJ2_aem_MjLfh5y18B_7uVTWzb5moQ

  26. I completely agree. The current Nexstar FOX package just doesn't fit either of those stations very well, IMO.

  27. CBS is showing Hollywood Squares at 2 pm ET rather than The Price is Right. This fills the gap between The Talk's cancellation and Beyond the Gates' premier.
