  1. So, umm, Penn-State really just reversed the decision to shut down WPSU-FM-TV and will now sell the stations to Philly based WHYY-FM-TV. https://www.post-gazette.com/news/education/2025/10/13/penn-state-wpsu-whyy-ownership-transfer-radio/stories/202510130067

  2. The right decision and only decision they could've made. Should've been sooner, but better now then never.

  3. Adam Pally also hosted a fantastically absurd episode from the CTM set with no audience

  4. And there is a litmus for this in the Late-Late interim between Ferguson and Corden where the couple weeks Regis Philbin hosted, CTM's set was used and Regis did the 1 on 1 longform interview. The current Morning set could easily handle that on the daily.

  5. I know what I saw! And why not Ted Greenberg's reports be included? He's reporting for WNBC and therefore properly should show such identification! My point was if Greenberg can use the 4/47 Flag, why can't the local reporters? It's as simple as that!!!!!

  6. Seems like this is more financially damning than the whole Jerry Sandusky / Joe Paterno scandal that ended the latter's tenure as head coach and vacated a lot of their wins at the time. College Football is out of control and the NIL deals / transfer portal are only making it worse. These schools need to clamp down on their deals and loosen the contracts of coaches who can't get wins on the field or make their teams competetive. No way should a failed coach be able to collect millions of dollars for a contract he signed. But PBS is just a drop in the bucket here and the local community loses out on a trusted resource because of athletics and their grossly inept and out of control spending. On the flipside, expect to see more sports on PBS stations, especially that of high school teams. Alabama Public Television has partnered with the AHSAA to broadcast a weekly "Game of The Week" statewide on their stations, as well as airing the "Super 7" tournament on their stations.

  7. Nothing has been announced, and the scuttlebutt is that the network will produce a cheaper talk show from the Broadcast Center without an audience or band or musical guests (as above, Bryon Allen has also announced his interest in that slot).

  8. At least with someone like Perry Sook, he's just LARPing as a media mogul. Not only is Byron Allen LARPing as a wanna-be media mogul, he's been trying to be a comedian his whole career as well....

  9. With all due respect to Mr. Allen, he needs to sit his arse down and reflect on his crumbling media empire rather than trying to cozy up with CBS.

  10. Oh dear god no! Byron should consider himself lucky enough that "Comics Unleashed" got their 12:37 time back. But Byron Allen's gonna Byron Allen, and we'll see the same repeats over and over again, year after year...

  11. It's a shame what Paramount is doing to CBS News.

  12. MSG has introduced a nicely minimalistic and left-justified design for their NBA package, including a simple and sleek bug (though I suspect by opening night that shot clock will get a bit bigger). Apologies for the 'direct from monitor' image because of DRM. And then from the next morning, we have a game from China on NBA TV, which now under league control has introduced this interesting package which feels a bit odd and 2015-like?

  13. I knew it was only a matter of time, but WOOD-TV has finally succumbed to a sponsor in their weather segment. A law firm logo now sits in the upper right corner of the U3rd and they moved the average high/low graphic to the bottom left, where no one can see it -- bah

  16. Still haven't found the full list anywhere -- though I also wonder why Nielsen doesn't just release the list itself. I mean, the top 50 are already available, so what's so secret about the other 160?

  17. Austin and San Antonio are literally right next to each other. Who knows if SA will ever swap places with Austin in the next few years.
