  1. One of those rare occasions when a station flipping to shopping is an improvement.

  2. The only actual violation is if the ident at the top of the hour is wrong, as outside of identification call letters can be trademarked to stations.

  3. I think she went to visit and introduce herself to (relatively) new colleagues, and there's a sort of natural "clique" (not meaning that in a "Mean Girls" high-school way, to be sure) among people working in the same role for the same employer in sort-of nearby markets. They have a shared scientific interest, and New York has its appeal to many as a place to visit. I enjoy frequent visits, but wouldn't pursue job openings there.

  4. Obsessed? Because someone from the Midwest who is now in easy proximity takes some trips there in her free time? That’s a huge stretch.

  5. The big move upstairs should be starting soon as they’re putting the final touches on the new combined newsroom and studios. Curious to see if they replicate the current set or come up with something completely new.

  6. Very well could have been Linsey's doing... No big plans on for Thanksgiving but want the extra time off at Christmas, or somewhere else in the year? I'd make that deal. Point is, this might have been part of a game of Tetris to get everyone the time off they wanted most.

  9. You know when I look back at Roz's career. I felt like WCBS took her spotlight away. She was there for only 2 years and then left the business altogether. She should've stayed at WABC in hindsight. WCBS just did not treat her as well as WABC did. WABC was her home. I hope she's doing well in her retirement years. I miss her so much. She had such a tenacious personality with WABC.

  10. RIP WLNE and ABC Providence. I'm headed up there tomorrow, it will be interesting to see how the hotel tv system reflects this. The fact there are issues seems to be the norm with Sinclair, from what I keep reading. Welcome to the new world of Sinclair and Nexstar, conservative media, controlling all the broadcast media in the market.
