  1. If I just got pink-slipped from my job, if the job offer is where there are openings and perhaps I have a connection to land said job, and if my family and I wanted to keep living in the market and community and not have to move, you can bet I wouldn't care that it's one of the lower rated stations with more than it's fair share of drama. I get that this board likes to slam the current issues at CBS News- most of it is warranted. But I'm examining this through a lens of people getting back on their feet and back to a job. Plus, if history tells us anything, the leadership door will continue to revolve at corporate.

  2. Jess was barely senior at the station, she was there only a few years in the grand scheme of things. Jamie Apody’s situation just screams there’s more to the story than being released for cost, which is normally a straight-out vanishing, not being mentioned for months in the sign-off. As for Adam/Bolaris, s—-w Bolaris. What Adam posted was hardly a big deal or biting anyone’s hand. John can sit all the way down and worry about his own business.

  3. 2 has been nabbing former GN talent for years such as Dana Kozlov, Jim Williams, etc, so it wouldn’t shock me if Jen had offered them something in the future.

  4. Woah. They fired their evening anchor? That’s significant.

  5. So much for Nexstar's claim that they invest in journalism. Yet over and over they reduce staff, close newsrooms, etc.

  6. I'm just going to throw in a FUCK NEXSTAR here. Absolutely uncalled for for WGN to undergo this kind of decimation so they have some extra pennies to destroy what's left of Tegna and to help Perry Sook suck up to the FCC and this godless excuse of an administration. I really hope Nexstar fails spectacularly when their massive debt catches up with them and their game plan of gouging viewers and pay TV systems runs dry...

  7. The full list, in addition to Lewis, Richards & Janssen, which totals 9... Ray Cortopassi, lead anchor Paul Lisnek, political analyst Chris Boden, sports anchor Julian Crews, reporter Judy Wang, reporter Bronagh Tumulty, reporter https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2026/2/24/nexstar-swings-the-blade-in-chi-town

  8. Craig would be a great addition, I wonder how he and Rosanna would mesh. Considering FOX picked up Lori Stokes and Sukanya Krishnan, it's not improbable.

  9. WOOD-TV's Susan Shaw is retiring after nearly 4 decades in the business... 31 of those years in Grand Rapids... Her final day is March 27,

  10. This is a big one for Minnesota... Belinda Jensen is calling it a career at KARE after 30 years. https://www.kare11.com/article/about-us/kare-11s-belinda-jensen-announces-retirement/89-a713db6e-2943-447a-8735-a57f9d21eac0 Wondering if the Nexstar/Tegna merger has anything to do with the timing? With all the big names bowing out at KARE in recent years, Bel's retirement is another blow to the lineup.

  11. I can't take that open seriously, I don't know how to say it but it's... offensively bland.

  12. For those not aware, WGN dismissed 9 anchors/reporters yesterday, and KTLA knocked out at least 3 on-air talent, as well. Now, after confirmation from a Nexstar source, WPIX has made some high profile cuts of their own. Gone as of today are: Kori Chambers, lead/late co-anchor Arrianee Lebeau, early evening co-anchor John Muller, weekend morning & original weekday morning co-anchor There could be more, but those are the only names we have, at this time.
