  1. Sometimes people leave and do comeback while rare at WABC it does happen, so maybe in the future, Derrick can find his way back if he wants. Despite it all, often times we expect news personalities to stay or move from one station to another because of the station itself's. But we often forget how difficult and challenging it is to work in this industry. So, I think a each person's journey is their own. Whether they stay on or leave for other opportunities, at the end of the day it is the quality of that and what they achieve along the way is where the merit is. Exciting to see the new changes coming to WABC. They've been quite agile lately with all of the shuffling of the talent. It feels like a complete refresh of the weekend lineup which has been pretty much untouched up until the last year or so with Tanya Rivero coming on board in 2024. Also this is kinda the shaping of a new chapter for WABC, with the bittersweet departure of Bill Ritter, we are seeing a unique set of new opportunities coming to light with that.

  5. The Bucks have a new home....somewhat the same as the old one pre-MSN/FSN/Bally/FanDuel. Every broadcast will be on WVTV's My 24 subchannel (the former WCGV), with a local streaming service TBA, along with a new state network, and the package starts with the team's Summer League action this Sunday. As with the Brewers deal for games on WITI and a state network, Good Karma and WTMJ radio will run affiliate relations and sell advertising during the broadcasts.

  6. I found this on WOOD's website today. It takes you to the website. I also spotted it on KARK. Not all the Nexstar/Tegna affected stations have it... yet...

  8. As for the Nexstar podcasts that are strictly online, does anyone actually watch them in great number. They seem to be filling dead air with journalists' passion projects or hobbies. Im curious what the numbers are for streamers like WTEN+ or WPIX+

  10. alas we're living in the dark times of broadcast history where there's barely any syndicated content, even Daytime TV has taken a beating. I'll be surprised if anything syndicated blows up this season.

  11. From what I've been told, the best numbers for the streaming channels are just the regular newscasts, and replays of the regular newscasts.
