  2. Anyone know more about this 6:30 p.m. newscast from KPNX? The promo is vaguely KTVK-like in style.

  4. Retirement that apparently has nothing to do with the merger. Retirement at 55.

  5. And the transfer of pharmaceutical licensees and approvals are NOT complicated and full of delays? But I get your point. I think the delays will only help Sinclair...kinda like the way delays worked for the Rocket Boy of the North. Reminder: I'm against the Sinclair deal... not because of politics...but because I believe in LOCAL ownership. I support free speech for all...not just a few.

  7. I'm not in support of the merger, but I will say one thing about the commentaries from Sinclair - at least they don't make it look like it's a part of the newscast - different graphics, theme, look, etc. If you like the news on Sinclair's Local 37, but don't like the commentaries - perfect time to visit the crapper, walk the dog, or whatever makes you happy. 8. That music has shown up in a promo before (don't remember where that is). Nice to finally see the open! It definitely is a really good one...one of the few I've seen where the "streak" design motif age well.

  9. I didn't think they were together at 10, but I only watched briefly. But I did notice they moved to the PPL Center. Not sure why they had ever not done the weekend evening shows there ... especially since the Saturday morning show has been done there. I wonder how much longer we have to wait for the new set. Seems like it's been a while.

  12. Erika Martiń is leaving NBC10. This past weekend was her last. That must be why they hired Steve Sosna https://twitter.com/ErikaMartinWx/status/909630715440005120

  14. I don't think it's all week. If I understood it correctly, Patrick's now the 4pm anchor, Dick is back to weekends, and the two of them juggle the 5 and 6 until Rob takes on one or both.

  15. WGN replaced the last 15 minutes of the 6pm news with The Lead-Off Man. They probably had to do this because the ads were already sold for The Lead-Off Man, which would have aired before the regularly-scheduled 1:20pm game.

  16. So, I noticed that yesterday and today, Patrick is anchoring at 4 and 6pm despite Dick being on the 5pm. Not sure if Patrick is going to be off this weekend, or if he's going to work a 9-day week. I'm curious why they're doing this. I'm guessing either Dick has a prior commitment that prevents him from working the 4 and 6pm, or management is trying to get Patrick in the seat on weekdays as much as possible.

  17. What a great man who created so much. Plus, he was about to bring Spanish television to the market with Telemundo Delmarva. He'll be sorely missed.
