  1. I'm so excited. It sounds great to have a diginet to air 80s and 90s sitcoms, and it came at a great time. I love watching Antenna TV (and has been since the week it launched), but I do get frustrated when some shows I watch from the 60s and 70s are gone from the lineup. Rewind would definitely give Antenna more space to put back previously-aired shows (and maybe debut some new ones) on the schedule.
  2. The last time I alluded to Fox News not being an actual news source (jokingly when their new newsroom debuted), I got screamed, cried and moaned out of the room. My opinion since hasn't changed; in fact, it's been amplified. You can have news and opinion shows co-exist on the same schedule and some (read: few) of its hosts and news stories over the years are great, knowledgeable and objective. But despite its billion-dollar flashy and style-over-substance look and feel, Fox's laughable slant and obvious and dangerous propaganda make it an untrustworthy joke and attack on true journalism to those aware of them, and a pathetic defense mechanism safe space to whose who aren't. So yeah, Fox News isn't as much a legit and credible news source as you think, and if you say it is... well, enjoy that R&R on that hill you died on. I'll also say this: I'll consider Fox actual news over OAN and Newsmax. Sweet Lord, they're pure godawful shit.
  3. I like these. A lot of efforts looks to have been put into them and animate well and cleanly. And the use of the logos of the shows are another highlight in places. I enjoyed the last few packages and I will enjoy this one too.
  4. CTM scored its first ever ratings win over GMA and Today, thanks to... that interview. "The show garnered 4.79 million viewers, including 1.03 million in the 25-54 demographic. That was a boost of 74% and 54%, respectively, from the same day a week earlier."
  5. Thank you. We certainly don't need more than one thread just to say "this sucks and I want it gone".
  6. I would say so, yes. If I don't have to wake up before the crack of dawn for my job anymore, I'd certainly consider it a promotion.
  7. Great shakeup. I guess I'm back to watching CNN often come April. (Also, all the best to Brooke in the next chapters in her career.)
  8. It looks much better. Much more tolerable.
  9. Nope, it's not just you. And yes, they're back to the middle of the desk like normal. I believe it's been like this since yesterday.
  10. Great choices here. Both are fantastic on their respective programs and I'm happy they'll keep their spots. They'll do great on their respective days. The best of luck and congrats to both.
  11. Didn't Elliott go to NBC (News/Sports) in the first place because he wanted George Stephanopoulos' job and more money on GMA (ABC balked at both but he was given a slightly higher paycheck) then jumped ship? He also wanted a high position on Today (probably Matt Lauer's job) and NBC balked. He was lucky to basically get paid to do nothing while at NBC Sports. He never learned to be patient while staying in his own lane. All Llamas should do is do what he's given, do it well and not be a prima donna; he should be fine and grow from there.
  12. Former Nightly News and Today anchor and current NBC News special correspondent Tom Brokaw announced that he will retire from the network after 55 years.
  13. Wow, that looks strange. They change their desk an awful lot, don't they?
  14. "Grown as a brand", "for adults only"? They sound about the same to me.
  15. Honesly not surprised about Ion Plus -- it's basically Ion Television 2, and they can easily spread the few shows it airs across its networks -- specifically and especially Ion. I'm more focused on Symson's thoughts on Qubo. I'm honesly surprised he would think that Qubo doesn't fit his vision of Scripps networks as "mature" when Laff is one of them (just watch it's promos--they scream [funny but] immature). I mean no, duh Qubo's not mature - it's a network for children. Qubo is a network that still can succeed across the kids demographics and (more importantly) still make them money. Unlike some of the other networks like Grit. I'm sure by "mature" he meant "for adults only" but that didn't stop Ion Media from running it all these years alongside both Ions.
  16. At this point, considering the unannounced changes to the Noon, 4, 5 and 10pm lineups last October and Jeanette Reyes' also-unannounced departure back in November, I wouldn't be surprised. It's just as well that this is the new 4pm team and that they want us to just go with it like it's nothing new.
  17. I'd say go for it too. Not only would moving to Times Square give CTM a breath of fresh air in several ways like studio-wise and design-wise (including a bigger window for passersby to look into), it would also give the Broadcast Center space for another TV show (or at least CBS [News]) to do production. A straight-up win-win for everyone.
  18. Thank God. He deserves to be punished for the atrocities he committed during his tenure. Such a worthless pile of crap.
  19. I'll bet the Trump trial ratings will make the OJ trial look like it aired on NBC in the Fred Silverman era... or (to tie to this thread) the Jeff Zucker era.
  20. I dunno, is that so? Sounds wonderful. Sarah. No contest. Sharrie has settled in as 5 & 10 at this point, and Alicia is better still as features reporter (although she's great as a fill-in). I could be wrong; don't quote me on this though.
  21. Wow. She was a really good anchor and reporter where she was, but morning anchor fits her much better. I'll miss her at WPVI, but I wish her a long, happy, successful tenure at WTTG.
  22. She had such a sweet, bubbly personality and 100-watt smile that made even the reports of bad weather seem good to hear. She will most definitely be missed in Market #4, but all the best to her in L.A. Thank you, Melissa Magee.
  23. As announced at the end of the 6pm news, meteorologist Melissa Magee will make her last report at WPVI later at 11 tonight. It was revealed that she will return to her hometown of Los Angeles to be closer with her family.
  24. I have no shame in saying I've been watching and enjoying KYW a lot recently, but I must agree. Them second over WCAU and WTXF in household ratings at 11pm is quite an eyeopener (no pun intended).
