  1. I very much like Gray's new gfx package(s) all around, but this new one from WAVE is the very best. Incredible overall.
  2. Well, I guess that's official. Time now to settle in. And the successors/replacements are very good at what they do, so I won't fret for very long.
  3. Same. I think the image could make a good Fox logo, but the logo is so iconic and recognizable that it's best to just leave it as is.
  4. Sad to see searchlights officially go after all these years (even though Fox hasn't used them for the past years) ; but since licensing fees are a pain, Fox had to visually evolve anyway. And I find this a great evolution based incredibly on and around its logo, which definitely isn't going anywhere. The abstract look and feel really works to the network's advantage, especially now that it isn't tied to partial namesake Hollywood studio anymore. I've seen promos lately on WTXF featuring the look and the abstract logo, but I seriously doubt the latter will be used in the stations' identities. Since the kite logos have used for over a decade, it really is time to retire them, since it's use has been downgraded in the last several years.
  5. I'm afraid I agree. The only change-up that (could've) worked was upgrading Sarah to 5pm anchor - and nothing else. They have everything else right with everyone else in the same place (and have been for years). And a new co-anchor for Walter would've been their only other conundrum they would've sorted out immediately. If official (which we still haven't had a word from the station yet), it's gonna take a while to settle with this line-up.
  6. Maybe but we don't know for sure yet. We'll see. All I can say is congrats to Rick for the upgrade from noon to 10, and congrats to Brian for becoming the afternoon anchor (I'll miss him at 10pm). I just wish the station announced these pairings beforehard to end the madness. I hope too. Also, agree on Jeanette or Maggie getting a slot someday. They are fantastic behind the desk. Christie too, but them more.
  7. Just finished watching the 6pm with a tease for the 10pm on WPHL. Rick is featured with Sharrie, Adam and Ducis.
  8. I would too. Shep would be perfect for any high-power gig, but a CBS gig like Evening News would be his best career move, period.
  9. hmmm... I wonder why. Because she genuinely cares about the victims of the scandal... or because she has a vendetta with NBC News despite her show - and her time with it - were absolute failures (and the Brinks truck-load of cash she walked away with after the fact). Either way... Stay classy, Meg.
  10. Wow, 10 years. Because he already was anchor of This Week, I didn't think he would have the stamina to do a two-hour daily morning show - and then both years later. Boy was I (happily) wrong. He joined at the right time, adapted very well, was - and still is - an incredible anchor of both, and definitely was/is a part of GMA's most successful era.
  11. I did. It's pretty much the main show's second hour now extended to a sixth day, minus the studio audience and twice the fluff.
  12. ^^ Wow. This station has a crazy turnover rate for meteorologists in the past several years. Hopefully one of their other meteorologists will slide in her smoothly in her slot soon. I'll miss Katie. She was as sweet and bubbly as she was talented and greatly-focused with the craft. And I wish her the very best wherever she goes and with her lovely family.
  13. Nope. We'll know for sure from Monica when she feels it's right.
  14. That third hour show is getting yet another name: GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke (with Keke Palmer officially promoted to co-host after a successful stint as guest co-host during Sara's maternity leave).
  15. Just on the same day as KYW introduced Tiffany Savona as the a meteorologist, they have a new anchor/reporter: Howard Monroe - who previously worked as a reporter at WISH and anchor at WJZY. Here's his bio and his LinkedIn account.
  16. Philadelphia is the #4 market. Unless you meant either she went up 8 markets or the list updated and I just didn't know.
  17. This morning at 5, KYW introduced Tiffany Savona as the newest Eyewitness Weather meteorologist.
  18. They look real good. Obviously designed like a localized version of the Nightly News teaser.
  19. Not surprising. No matter what changes the network gives to its weekday news programs, the ratings always drop soon after the debut. I believe things will probably change a bit for the better later on, but at this point it feels a bit sad. (And sadly I know it'll happen when Norah begins her tenure at the Evening News next month.)
  20. Sad to see her leave from CBS3, but very happy to her she's staying in the Eye's picture. Good luck to Chelsea on her next career destination.
  21. I did. She was incredible!
  22. It was a pretty good show in Philly. I was there and had a great time (cold-as-shit rain and winds aside). Even got to meet, greet and snap pics with Robin and George. The set looked awesome too. This Pop Up Stop summer tour is gonna be a great long-awaited event stunt for GMA.
  23. Fμcking ridiculous. Kids, can you say "homophobic"? They should've kept it up. I don't care how many "people" are uncomfortable about one FB picture; those like them shouldn't have the power to sway a big 4 TV station who has that much of a more open mind than them to take down a simply innocuous photo celebrating the LGBTQ+ community -- especially when they air a program that also supports the LGBTQ+ community. Yeah sure, viewership, but when they say "I'm not watching anymore" because of one photo, do they really mean it?
  24. Tegna and CBS have renewed their affiliation deal, continuing the the Eye's airing on 11 stations across the country.
  25. Jeff Glor is staying with CBS News.... as he will now be the co-anchor of... CBS This Morning... :Saturday. He has also become Special Correspondent. (ehh, well it fits his talents well. I'm just very happy he'll stilll be on TV at least.)
