Did you?? That's nice. I did too...just not in the mornings or weekend.
-
I don't know. I was a kid back then. Cartoons mattered to me at those tines.
-
Damn, I wish I watched that; Would've been odd but fascinating. This reminds me of when Anita Brikman once filled in for Rob Jennings over a decade ago.
-
Congrats to him. I liked him a lot as World News Now and America This Morning co-anchor and this to me is a big promotion to a much more desirable position and timeslot. Great pickup by MSNBC.

It's revealed that the Third Hour will be leaving Studio 6A in the new year. Reasons are logistics -- i.e. running from one studio to another [both in separate buildings] in time for the show, not appearing in the last quarter of the main show and using a studio/set forever trapped in infamy. Makes ssense to me, but I'll miss this verison in front of a studio audience.
-
Not to be offensive, but...do you watch anything else? Do you do anything else? And...do you like that?
-
lol What do you want, a recount?
-
There is nothing about NBC (as far as the rest of us know) that you even remotely like... yet you give them all of your time and awareness (at least from the news and links found here). #ThingsThatMakeYouGoHmm That's what the work week is for. What Peter does in his private life with his wife is his business, not yours (or ours for that matter). Network correspondents go back and forth between cities for its shows all the time. If Bob Schieffer could do it for an entire year, Peter surely can for the time being.

Even if the younger hires are actually talented?? Even if the consumer prefers the older, more seasoned anchor or reporter, they should realise they aren't going to be at the station forever -- and the execs know this, so they hire these younger fresh faces to keep the cycle of reporting the news going or else they'll have trouble having enough people in the stable to fill the line-up.
-
lmao Stealing what thunder? A new anchor can't beat a new set (going on what goes on here). Congrats to Jessica K. on the market upgrade, and to KYW for this great pickup.
-
I don't hate Tamsen like everyone else seems to, but...(rhetorically speaking...) why would they keep her over any of her co-anchors?
-
Reading into what? I think otherwise. I only found the decision odd, and is just taking a wait-see approach. There's nothing between the lines I'm closing in on. If this is the plan the producers have with Bianna, cool.
-
This is an odd decision, but Bianna is a great anchor and great fit for the show (congrats to her), so I'm very interested in where this new lineup direction goes.
-
^^ I did like her. She did have a sweet, bubbly personality on-air but was also great at anchoring the serious pieces and balancing both. I'll miss her here in Philly, but I think she'll be a great addition wherever she'll go next. -- Agree. I've liked her anchoring and reporting ever since she fronted Wake Up News on WPSG back in the day.

Add me in to the GMA dislike bandwagon. Sometimes I also DVR when a certain guest appears or after certain news scandal or alert took place. Other than that, the show lost its way with me for a long while since after Michael joined. He shouldn't have left Live where he was much better (although I wouldn't blame him if Kelly Ripa caused him to leave. Can't stand that wench anymore.) Also... Then, I'd rather watch a number-3-rated morning show that actually provides the news I need and care about, rather than another that does about a handful of news and about 90 minutes of worthless fluff and features about two garbage reality shows I supremely do not.
-
I wondered if he would continue as Face the Nation moderator concurrently with his new duties; but since he isn't, that's great. Commuting between Washington and New York is a wench.

I always had that feeling that Dickerson had a rapport that showed he has the chops for morning TV. Just didn't notice openly until now. Good for him and the show. As great as Gayle and Norah were as a duo, I always feel CTM was, is and always has been successful with a 3-anchor team (two women and one guy), and I'm glad this continues with Dickerson's hiring.

First: Yes, Nydia is a weekend co-anchor, only on Sundays. Second: Yes, Gray usually anchors Saturday solo. I can't answer for why Alicia was in studio when he returned-- I didn't watch; maybe to help settle him back into the grind.

Ehhh... At first, I thought it was unfair to either Savannah or Hoda to not have a higher salary; but then again Matt was main co-anchor of Today for 20 years (and news anchor for some months prior), and every penny he's made over those years (even at the points in his career where he was overpaid and when he was fired for being a perv) he deserved his paychecks he worked so hard for. Savannah has been main co-anchor for 5 years and that pay range is perfect for anyone at this level career-wise and Hoda has made huge bank for years for getting and being wasted with Kathie Lee among other things. So... do I think they need to be paid at least a little more at this point? Yes. Are the comparisons between them and Laurer fair and deserving? No, not by a long shot.
-
Oh? Okay, cause I read your post as if you didn't. Sorry, I didn't know. And it's really not that interesting (at least to me), because the station has aired news and public affairs shows before, courtesy of former WCAU/KYW anchor and email snooper Larry Mendte. Yes, it is licensed to Wilmimgton, but a license is different from a station's coverage AFAIK. I do agree that these updates definitely do give a bigger reach to across the Delaware Valley.
-
That's because the company that owns the station -- Maranatha Broadcasting Company, now also owns KJWP -- the area's MeTV station; so the updates can air there no problem.
-
Fixed.

Oh my. Nora has been with Action News way more than the years I've been alive. As much as I'll miss her as their reporter (aka New Jersey Correspondent), I'm so proud of her as a local TV personality and as a human being, and I'm so happy for her as she's worked as hard and as long as anyone this long in the business and deserves her time to R&R (Retire and Rock-on).
-
I need to give up on Inside Edition. It means well, but it's kinda stupid and monotonous now.
-
No, they're not. And that doesn't mean anything. CBS also airs sports on the weekends that overrun or outright preempt the broadcast. (actually, all of them do at times) That's why they chose the news to be taped; what point is there to go live when you barely have time to produce few stories when the match ends? If there ever was breaking news, they would've broke in at any time (or else, just go online instead [they have a network there you know]). Giving up would be cancelling the weekend news and let the sports play on until completion (which also makes money, not that that's a problem). Just because they just recently changed to a taped format and won't usually go in the field, doesn't mean they can't afford to do otherwise. And speaking of shared studio, where is ABC when a special report is on the air? In THEIR shared studio? What's your point? (...oh, and using my personal first name against me because i don't share an opinion with you (or whatever creepy reason) isn't gonna ruin me, bro.)
