I've seen Jemele on ESPN twice already this week which is more than she's appeared in the last 6 months. I guess she's getting some last minute exposure.

And for over a decade, Ilona only anchored at 4 and Art only anchored at 5 (30-minute appearance). So I guess 30 minutes for Chauncy and Mayra wouldn't be the craziest idea. Hell for several years, Tom Koch anchored from 5-7 am and again at 4 pm M-F. Channel 13 has had some odd anchor lineups for sure. What's silly to me is the 6/6:30 anchor split and the three-team 10 pm newscast. All I want to see is Tom Koch and Gina Gaston as the 6 and 10 pm anchors. Not pairing them together again makes me wonder if one of them has indicated their plans to leave soon.

I know change is inevitable but I really miss Channel 13 of the old days when I was younger. Seems like the last few years have seen questionable decision after questionable decision but maybe data is showing something different. To their credit I will say Mayra and Chauncy are a really strong weekend AM crew.

Sad news indeed, I'm so glad I got to watch Ed for a few years before his retirement. Brandon, Dave Ward, Gina Gaston, Marvin Zindler and Bob Allen were the 6 pm news team I watched growing up. Here's an awesome photo from Channel 13 of Texas' news 6 and 10 pm newsteam from the late 1980s-early 2000s. Classic! Sadly the entire top row is now passed on.

Exactly. Never thought I’d be referring to the Robin, George, Josh, Lara and Sam era as the “good old days” but the show was 1000x better then than it is now. Stop insulting everyone’s intelligence by trying to pass off Michael as a journalist. Blow the whole program up and start over at this point

I know I sound like a broken record and that everyone doesn’t agree but FFS when is GMA going to give up on trying to build Michael Strahan into this serious news personality? They had him conduct the interview with the young girl who pushed her friend off the bridge leading to her injuries. Watching a few seconds of the interview shows exactly why he shouldn’t be doing these kinds of pieces. I’m so torn because I’m the world’s biggest NYG fan so naturally I love him, but at the same time I have a sentimental spot for Good Morning America and he’s ruining the entire program.

Haha just turned 22 this year and finding myself getting more agitated with people asking about my age. I think I'm connecting growing up with increased responsibilities and my brain resents the idea.

Jason is the likely successor since he's already anchoring at 4 pm. He's moved up quickly too I remember him doing the weekends not too long ago.

I think the historic part is by having two female meteorologists as the evening weather lineup. Lots of stations have at least one, but I'm struggling to think of any that have two.

I'm going to respectfully disagree. I think Savannah is one of the worst anchors in Today's history.

Not sure if he's been on the whole morning, but Pat and Lauren are hosting the 9 am hour.

I think the point is and has been for a long time, GMA has become a really pathetic shell of itself.

People said that same thing when Kathie-Lee split from Regis, then it was sure the show was doomed when Regis split from Kelly. The mass hysteria that would ensue from the program being bumped back by an hour would die out rather quickly. Good Morning America is an ABC program owned and produced by ABC so it should have precedence over syndicated programming. Additionally I know I'll be in the minority but I do actually like the name a lot!

Sara and Michael are a good pairing for that third hour and I agree that hopefully it pushes Michael way off the first hour or two. I wonder if ABC is branding it as Good Morning America instead of Afternoon because they're planning at some point to move it up to 9 am. They're taking members from The View so why not just push it back to that 1 pm timeslot to go up against The Talk on CBS and let LIVE shift to 10 am. Just doesn't seem likely to me that GMA at 1 pm is a long term solution.

Pointed to Whoopi and suggested she suffered from “Trump Derangment Syndrome” a term the president has apparently started using to describe his affect on those who disagree with him. It’s really quite sad if we’re honest - about a year ago I decided to just check out from following this administration and his antics coupled with those who blindly defend his blatant lies. I followed closely this week with the Russia investigation and already just wish I hadn’t.

Good for Whoopi. Jeanine is toxic as freaking f*** just like so many of her friends at FOX.

Suki is one of the absolute worst television news personalities in history. Right up there with KTLA's Chris Burrous. Stacey Baca is Walter Cronkite compared to them.

This is who I'm betting on, her exposure has been growing exponentially over the last few years on both GMA and GMA Weekend.

What the hell is the WGN Weather Center set? It looks awful compared to the rest of the set.
