  1. If I'm not mistaken, it has almost been a year since Renee was placed on leave. It is a shame that this is how her time at the station ended. She was there from the switch from CBS to NBC, the competitive rise of 10's news department with her and Mendte, to the GE cutbacks and 10 forced into standardization.

Starting last week, I started to notice Jim and Jacqueline at 4, 6, and 11 (which had been the case for a while), and Keith with either Denise or Rosemary at 5.

More then likely they'll move Jacqueline off the 5 pm and have her permanent at 4, 6 & 11. Denise or Rosemary or an outsider will replace Jacqueline at 5.

  2. In my opinion, the most likely person he will be paired with if wnbc keeps it inside would be Sibila...If they go outside it's anyones guess.

I only see Sibila doing the 4 pm if they revamp the 5 pm into a one hour show as opposed to the current split set up they have going now otherwise it's gonna be someone current (besides Sibila) or an outsider.

  3. Something odd about that article. Brynn tweeted she would be back Monday and Shiba has made no mention of leaving. And if she was let go why would network continue to use her? I wouldn't be surprised if she's on network again next week.

  4. Who would've known I surely thought network would hire Shiba full time as correspondent/contributing anchor. As for who would replace her at WNBC I could see it being Natalie Pasquarella. Kerry Barrett is another possibility but isn't she an intergal part of TINY? Also doesn't surprise me since this month is Shiba's 5th year with WNBC and seems to be a tradition its not working out or you find something better after 5 years people move on.

  5. So if it's Jim, and they are auditioning people, does that leave Erika as part of a 3-anchor format, moved to another time, out the door?

Out of the blue guess but could they be moving Erika to Nicole Brewers old slot on the weekends and bringing someone new to co-anchor alongside Jim?

  6. I'm not sure I'd read too much into that. How else would he respond?: "Yes, thank you very much Ryan! FYI I am only part of the rotation of Saturday night anchors."

Other things mentioned in that press release on FTVLive.com:

*Stephanie Abrams was named co-anchor of AMHQ. This actually happened on November 8 (and was announced earlier).

*Nic Roberston named CNN International Diplomatic Editor. A simple google search will show you this happened back in September 2015.

*Kala Rama named WPIX weekend anchor. This actually happened back in December.

There are a bunch more, and some of them happened earlier this month while others happened last fall. I think they were just stating what was announced back in November, that he is part of the rotation, hence the "a" instead of a "the" in the press release.

Also, when Kate was announced as the Sunday anchor, many more outlets reported this, not just FTVLive.

So unless another website posts about him being named Saturday NN anchor it isn't authentic? SMH

  7. Kristine Johnson renews her agreement with WCBS as co-anchor of CBS2 news at 5 & 11 pm and also adds network anchor/correspondent to her duties as well. This probably explains why Kristine has been seen at network anchoring lately.
