  1. It's been off and on for years, dating back to the Action News era.
  2. Univision vs Dish: https://www.google.com/amp/s/deadline.com/2018/06/univision-warns-dish-subscribers-on-potential-access-cut-off-in-carriage-dispute-1202416310/amp/
  3. While he’s at it, Jesse should probably donate the HD cameras to Ernest Angley. How are people supposed to get swindled without a pretty picture?
  4. Try WOIO/WUAB in Cleveland. Jeff Tanchak and Jason Nicholas both do weather in the evenings, except Jason is officially the chief meteorologist. Tanchak does weather at 4 and 9 while Jason is on at 5, 6, 10, and 11.
  5. My question is how WFAA will handle the 3rd hour of “GMA”, since it aired The Chew at 11am CT, followed by the Noon news.
  6. IIRC, WXIA put a 7pm newscast on WATL to get political money from the special Georgia congressional election back in 2017.
  7. And Steve Vesey will become the new weekday morning anchor in 3...2...
  8. Don’t give WKYC any ideas on how to resurrect “Today In Cleveland”. For those who don’t know, “Today In Cleveland” aired from 6:30-7am until about ‘96 or ‘97 when WKYC expanded its morning newscast to that’s timeslot and and was basically two old men talking for 30 minutes.
  9. WKBN: WeAreValleyProud330Matters.com
  10. The WFAA logo has aged damn well, so why does Tegna want to change it up?
  11. KNIN is owned by Raycom but managed by Scripps’ KIVI.
  12. Thank God! Otherwise, it would’ve been “TriangleProud.com” or “TriangleMatters.com”.
  13. Honestly, I want to read that logo as “17 WNCN” or “17 News”, but it beats “CBS North Carolina”.
  14. At some point it makes you wonder what Scripps' end game is in the industry. All this "hip and cool stuff" combined with weird decisions and little recent investment in the on air look makes you wonder what's going on.
  15. I'm surprised that with NW Arkansas being a split market, I'm surprised that no station has pulled a WSAZ and do two-city news.
  16. Halleluia!!!!!
  17. Even if I don't agree with Hyman's views, I still want to wish him the best recovery.
  18. Say hello to either Gannett, Scripps, Sinclair, or even Fox handing Angley a Brinks truck of cash!
  19. What about WJW use of Stephen Arnold's Fusion? Now that was a kick-ass theme.
  20. Meanwhile in Atlanta: http://www.wkyc.com/entertainment/television/former-cleveland-news-anchor-sharon-reed-responds-to-viewer-who-called-her-n-word/497343506
  21. Uh... https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/colleges/woman-files-protective-order-against-oklahoma-rb-anderson/2017/12/04/6998c5f0-d95c-11e7-a241-0848315642d0_story.html Back on topic, seeing as how coke and booze was common in newsrooms, I wouldn't be surprised if sexual situations accompanied it too.
  22. Where I live in have Spectrum TV and Internet included with my rent but the TV is directly connected with locals in ClearQAM and 50 analog cable channels.
  23. Univision is off Verizon Fios: http://deadline.com/2017/10/univision-verizon-with-racial-bias-in-carriage-dispute-1202191683/
  24. Sh*t just got real between Spectrum and Viacom: https://www.google.com/amp/variety.com/2017/tv/news/viacom-charter-carriage-negotiations-1202587763/amp/
  25. Honestly, WGHP is definitely more valuable than WXLV/WMYV combined. It will depend on how comfortable they are with the status quo in the Triad and the same goes for St. Louis between KTVI/KPLR and KDNL. Back to WXII. Ever since WCWG entered into an agreement with WXII, Hearst has been pouring much needed resources into WCWG. I'd say the FCC should give it a go just on those grounds alone.
