  1. Yes but not sure how long. The networks' bug has been replaced by the NBC logo in general. You watch USA Network (the 24/7 home during the games) and it has the NBC logo on it. I know because I have Peacock with access to all feeds, plus multiview options (those feeds come from OBS).
  2. WGME has moved Katie Sampson to evenings after spending the past decade + on mornings on Good Day Maine. https://www.instagram.com/p/DT9JWSPDiyg/?igsh=MXdxemF6d3djZWkzMQ==
  3. That's right, I forgot! So yeah, maybe NECN will finally get statewide cable carriage there after all.
  4. Let me add to this... It doesn't mention Rhode Island, and there's a reason why. While there is Spectrum in Maine and Massachusetts, as well as Xfinity in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont, Rhode Island has NEITHER. Your only two options for cable in The Ocean State are either Cox (which IIRC has never carried NECN at all in favor or RINC and later OSN) or Frontier FiOS (formerly Verizon, which HAS carried NECN before, not sure if they do now). Rhode Island may be the only state in New England that will not have access to this network at all. I wonder if letting go of OSN with WJAR will FINALLY give in for Cox to finally start carrying NECN once the Spectrum era begins.
  5. It was so nice, they actually did it twice! Part 2 from 1998:
  6. It looks like NECN will be saved!!! This is better than shutting it down altogether.
  7. Now, its being told that the network will move to New York but NOT shut down the channel, despite earlier reports. https://www.linkedin.com/redir/redirect/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fthedesk.net%2F2026%2F02%2Flaw-crime-court-tv-future%2F&urlhash=LL13&mt=LXmm03EwTfAPPZyn1u1BI3q-KkQ5J8HznmF2vsmd34GQa9e9xSveMXqoz75XyconbdKDCUGk7KQG45gQy5bRDO-O3h1r-wVZfn9zRvTdstaep6hF55vOAQ&isSdui=true
  8. And come March 11th, Court TV as a television network, will cease to exist... AGAIN. https://www.linkedin.com/redir/redirect/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fthedesk.net%2F2026%2F02%2Fcourt-tv-layoffs-shutting-down%2F&urlhash=GZ61&mt=6r4gTlb8kfXlrrFSpPXc2yveFcsC543LpP_1gNZ_xTOa_WFF078js4tlSz3060dVRACIrGixui2GCYK5lzh4NP_omI-1jTgMXfR-xGMiz8Xm4Wmj0hdukg&isSdui=true
  9. 30 years ago today. The rebirthed WKTU (the original was on 92.3 FM in the 70s and 80s) changed the course of radio forever. A small snippet of today's celebration: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1439982554247102&__cft__[0]=AZaNcH1iosbEEQY9k8yWlvYfRbtZdQhvdSB75pAPt0YI_wt_BcKWEVHYuz3RulOUSzXTIOtnwN1JLujfJrKIONA8zXFAk9rwnyj4N7YDhr6UCYnt9bGPrvCJEqgd0Ze7GocgBRHGEyiQVXdKP200QrHNaAKE3to17IADzKSgZImZwdMYvJ4qJvcHlI9h3fIVEIOKhZz_YIotbjn3zVp_2lM8N7xYn4srDgTB4IJxvHw8oA&__tn__=%2CO%2CP-R
  10. Michelle Dapper is Del Rodgers' official sports director replacement at KCRA 3. https://www.instagram.com/p/DUl0RBHDV4W/?igsh=MnE2a2FocWpvb2xy
  11. Not anymore. WISN discontinued its 9pm news months ago (probably a year ago at this point). Its only WITI and WDJT on WMLW now at that time.
  12. Canada The Weather Network is now live streaming on YouTube, as it has been since Friday. I believe this is the FAST (streaming) version of the channel, NOT the one you're used to seeing on Rogers, Bell, SaskTel, Videotron, Cogeco, and other providers.
  13. So in every timeslot, its WISN #1, WITI #2, WTMJ #3, and WDJT #4. Okay.
  14. Marquee should keep going for as long as they want to. Don't give Sinclair any more ideas.
  15. Spain I missed this, but this was three months ago. Angeles Blanco, a longtime news presenter at Informativos Telecinco, who has done virtually every shift you can think of for the network, from mornings and afternoons (with Isabel Jimenez, who's still there) to weekends (with Jose Ribagorda, since retired), but never the main 9pm slot, is finally getting her chance and is now on at 9pm every weeknight with Carlos Franganillo. What is a longtime, you may be asking? 34 years as of this year. She joined in 1993 when their news division was actually called (since it only had one news program at the time) Entre Hoy y Manana. It wouldn't adopt their current name, Informativos Telecinco, until 1997. She's also married to Vincente Valles, a former Telecinco news presenter himself who's been with Antena 3 Noticias since 2011, and the two met while working there.
  16. It will be Kathryn Hauser, promoted to team up with Ann Nyberg and anchor at 5:00pm weeknights on WTNH New Haven. https://www.ctpost.com/news/article/wtnh-tv-news-anchor-kathryn-hauser-ann-nyberg-21340005.php
  17. The latest NewsActive3 compilation gives us proof that KIII Corpus Christi (first ABC to do so) and KWES Odessa/Midland (last NBC to do so) have recently switched to the new look. This is the first YT video I'm seeing their new looks, so a compilation from NA3 will do. EDIT: WJXX technically had it first from ABC, with WTLV launching with the other NBC affiliates from TEGNA out there.
  18. The introduction is new, but the documentary is not. It dates back to February 1998 at the studios of PBS member station WFWA-TV 39 in Fort Wayne, focused on the legendary 1190 WOWO... 1190 WO-WO, W-O-W-O Fort Wayne. Today, WOWO is the 50,000-watt daytime station serving Northeast Indiana, still on-the-air, and owned by Federated Media. Its also heard on 92.3 WFWI, 97.3 WMEE-HD2, and 107.5 W298BJ. This also includes one of the biggest legends of all legends for a radio market that size, Bob Chase, who was the longtime play-by-play announcer for Fort Wayne Komets hockey games for an unprecedented 63 years until his retirement in May 2016, followed by his death from congestive heart failure on Thanksgiving morning 2016. RIP to a great one, gone almost 10 years ago.
  19. Why am I, and everyone else here, not surprised? I legitimately called it.
  20. A further update on this... KING, WTIC, and WNEP have launched 24/7 streams of their own, and now KSDK has launched theirs on television as well, coming back for the first time since NewsChannel 5 Weather Plus went away in 2013. This time, instead of 5.2, 5 On Your Side Weather Impact 24/7 is located on 5.6.
  21. Gray has expanded its affiliation agreement with Telemundo nationwide. Not only that, there are three new Telemundo affiliates. I already mentioned before Telemundo Chattanooga (WTVL-CD and WDNN-CD 49.1; TNV-SEN is on .2), but now there's also Telemundo Lafayette (KNGC-LD 25.2; GC-SEN is on .1), and Telemundo Dayton (WZCD-LD 30.2; RESN is on .1). https://tvnewscheck.com/programming/article/gray-media-expands-telemundo-affiliation-agreement/
  22. Except they can't... because they use the 2024 version by 4 Elements Music, not the one from Gari.
  23. Great timing for this too. This comes on the heels of WKAQ-TV launching a FAST channel for the mainland U.S., appropriately titled Telemundo Puerto Rico. https://tvnewscheck.com/programming/article/telemundo-puerto-rico-streaming-channel-launches-in-mainland-u-s/
  24. After 5+ years on WFLA's health and lifestyle-themed program, Bloom, and more than 30+ years overall at WFLA, Gayle Guyardo is saying goodbye to the station, and to television overall. https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1665179947786498&id=100028835276449
  25. Spain ARTE is a French-German cultural channel. It looks like they may want to add Spain to that mix too. It looks like a new version of the channel, ARTE Espana, is coming in June in partnership with RTVE. https://www.elconstitucional.es/en/qtv/more-tv/rtve-negotiates-with-arte-for-its-new-cultural-channel-to-be-called-arte-spain_1606_102.html
