  1. The Thanksgiving Day Parade? Do they still do that?
  2. It looks like it'll be the same graphics that WMC currently has.
  3. She's done after 23 years. Norma Holland has left 13WHAM (and better yet, the Sinclair demigods) for a job with a local online marketing company. She announced that she was leaving on Tuesday and I didn't see that here on the forums. https://13wham.com/news/local/after-23-years-norma-holland-departs-13wham-abc-for-new-beginnings
  4. August 31st is a Saturday.
  5. Speaking of Antena 3... they're kicking ass right now. More people watch them for news than Telediario (La 1), La 2 Noticias (La 2), Noticias Cuatro (Cuatro), Informativos Telecinco (Telecinco) and LaSexta Noticias (LaSexta). Now, Antena 3 Noticias is home to one of Spain's top 10 most visited websites. 24.5 million unique visitors to Antena3.com/Noticias. DISCLAIMER: I'm a massive fan of Antena 3 Noticias. I prefer them over Telediario in a close battle. https://www.antena3.com/noticias/cultura/record-historico-de-atresmedia-en-internet-al-los-245-millones-de-visitantes-unicos_201908215d5d17200cf29f7bb64bef95.html
  6. Don't be surprised if it goes a year before they finally get GDWUP replacements.
  7. As a response... here is WSVI's rivals... WMNS-LD CBS USVI.
  8. OMG. It was Nancy Parker! I can't believe this. The beloved NOLA anchor, mostly working with John Snell at WVUE, has passed away while working on a story and killed on that plane crash alongside the pilot. https://www.nola.com/news/crime_police/article_0ba0211a-c072-11e9-b7c0-e3b66461b380.html?1566000519408
  9. Here's the story: (via NOLA.com) https://www.nola.com/news/crime_police/article_681fe7da-c069-11e9-b21e-0bf250e57d83.html (via WDSU) https://www.wdsu.com/article/2-dead-after-plane-crashes-in-new-orleans-east-near-lakefront-airport/28723557 Again, it doesn't mention whose the news anchor that was killed, more likely until authorities name the victims. However, it does speculate who's the anchor that was killed, specifically if it came from New Orleans.
  10. Wow. I messed it up twice. WPVI and WTNH! There you go.
  11. Oh wow! Just realized that. Sorry! WABC and WTNH are up at 4am. Everyone else is too reluctant. I think the CBS Morning News is still live at 4:00 a.m.
  12. Not only that... KDKA added a third hour on Saturdays starting earlier at 5:00 a.m.
  13. KABC and WPVI are the only ABC O&O's to start at 4:00 a.m. as ABC has refused to start America This Morning at least a half-hour earlier to allow others to go on at 4:00 a.m. too.
  14. RTVE usually has money because its owned by the Spainsh government. However, right now, they can't give RTVE any money right now because they government right now is even in fiasco. For god sakes, they currently have an acting prime minister right now and don't even have a government to sorta say. Without a functioning government, RTVE will not receive a budget and therefore, probably suffer. Those that are probably thinking they're like, yes RTVE is suffering, are the four other (commercial) broadcasters... Antena 3, Cuatro, Telecinco y LaSexta (A3 and LS are owned by Atresmedia while C and TC are owned by Mediaset Espana).
  15. In terms of the race at 4:00 p.m. in DFW, between KXAS, WFAA and KTVT, the winner is... NEITHER. Instead, it goes to KXTX. Winners in July REGARDLESS OF LANGUAGE. Another Telemundo station taking another win.
  16. Is the Corporation de RTVE (Radio y Television Espanola) in trouble? Spain's public broadcaster (La 1, La 2, Canal 24h, Teledeporte y Clan + Radio Nacional, Radio Clasica, Radio 3, Radio 4, Radio 5 y Radio Exterior) is seemingly running out of money, due to a lack of a budget from the Spanish government (which owns RTVE) and also because of political instability (literarry. Catch the podcast "Que?" from El Pais, Spain's national newspaper. Really good btw.). Not to mention, it has suffered its lowest ratings in history. Right now, RTVE doesn't have the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games rights and according to the article, La 2 Noticias may come to an end as a result. https://advanced-television.com/2019/07/22/rtve-hindered-by-lack-of-funds/
  17. And yet, those three stations you've mentioned as examples are still #1 in their markets and by longshots too.
  18. KOLN and Gray Television are the 100-lb gorillas in Lincoln. It's not just KOLN in the market that Gray has, but seems like a gazillion stations in that area they own, including KSNB, KCWH and god what else they got.
  19. That last clip... that must have started Rachael Ray's career, right then and there without even knowing it.
  20. Well... it looks like public broadcasting in the Rio Grande Valley will become no more once KMBH drops PBS under Entravision. They don't even have an NPR outlet right now after what was the NPR outlet was sold to a local religious broadcaster and became a religious station. So yeah... not good.
  21. Or a Good Day as 3TV used to have an 11:00 a.m. newscast called Good Day Arizona.
  22. That's been their 6:30 a.m. half-hour newscast of GMET for a few years now.
  23. Yes! Anytime there's a KTLA MN or a WGN MN special, I'm all in.
  24. It's an article from 2017 What does this have to do with WABC Channel 7?
  25. I prefer that over infomercials any day.
