Warren Armstrong will anchor his last 11pm newscast for KFSN in early January. Then, it won't be until late next year, November 2026 to be exact, when Warren (who'll still be anchoring at 5 and 6pm until then) will retire from KFSN after a four-decade career in broadcasting, and by then 26 years at KFSN. https://www.google.com/amp/s/abc30.com/amp/post/action-news-anchor-warren-armstrong-dials-back-schedule-prepares-retirement/18181736/

WKYT has replaced their 6:30pm news on The CW Lexington with... the WKYT First Alert Weather Show. Its part of Gray's continuing trend to develop all-weather shows and streams. It started today (weird to start on a Thursday) and features Bill Bryant and Chief Meteorologist Chris Bailey.

I saw this on Twitter (not calling it X simply to appease to Musk). This is what NBC would air on Sunday nights starting next year. Out of 52 Sundays next year, only TWO would be devoted to non-sports programming. The rest? Sunday Night Football (NFL), Sunday Night Basketball (NBA), Sunday Night Baseball (MLB), and during February, the Olympics as well.

Also, for the record, FOX, FS1, TBS, and Apple TV will continue to have their rights to MLB games, so it's not like we're decreasing networks' exposure to the MLB. Its actually expanding to more places.

Since last month, KFXF Fairbanks has been converted from Me-TV and MyNetworkTV to MyNetworkTV and Gray's newest regional sports network, the Last Frontier Sports and Entertainment Network, which is Fairbanks' home of the Seattle Kraken. https://www.webcenterfairbanks.com/2025/09/02/kfxf-channel-7-is-excited-announce-launch-last-frontier-sports-entertainment-network-fairbanks/

WAPT and WJCL don't have it either. They're the last three.

Radio is once again the focus of CBS, this time on Saturday Morning, trying to focus on the revelancy of the medium.

Sinclair Broadcast Group - General Discussion
TheRolyPoly replied to Smitha A's topic in Corporate Chat
We could be looking at another legal maneuver again by Sinclair. According to this post on AVS Forum, starting December 1st, ABC 6 will move to WJAR 10.2, and WLNE 6.1 will become Roar. https://www.avsforum.com/threads/providence-ri-hdtv.265419/page-218#post-64307615 -
general thread NBC Sports/NBCSN/Golf Channel/NBC RSNs Thread
TheRolyPoly replied to WCAUTVNBC10's topic in Sport Center
Is this new NBCSN the first-ever network to launch on a streaming TV provider (YouTube TV) before it expands to cable and satellite (Xfinity, Spectrum, etc.)? -
Another retirement date... December 12th. Its Steve Weagle's last after 27 years as WPTV and later WFLX's Chief Meteorologist. He's ready to retire under the sun. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQ-bkb_Em43/?igsh=cGVvN3ZjMHRvbWNh

Unfortunately, we lost Geoff Fox. Former radio personality, longtime meteorologist in Connecticut at WTNH and WTIC but also for NCN: NewsChannel Nebraska. Passed away last night in his sleep after battling prostate cancer. He was 75. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wtnh.com/news/connecticut/new-haven/former-news-8-meteorologist-geoff-fox-dies-after-cancer-battle/amp/

After 25 years at WFOR, and a good chunk before that at WPLG, and being in Miami television for nearly 50 years, Eliott Rodriguez is stepping down in what seems like retirement. December 19th will be his last newscast so right before Christmas. https://www.instagram.com/p/DQ-Hkfpkncd/?igsh=a2NhanVoMjA5dGl0

He actually did a show last night and here's the monologue as a tribute:

Apparently, its not the first time Mark Johnson and Betsy Kling were seen together on air. WKYC brings you this 1991 report from what was WAKR 23 on the opening of a new K-Mart (remember those? Lmao).

For years upon years upon years, YouTube has had clips of Richard Dawson's last episode of Family Feud from 1985, though the quality was never great, and it wasn't the full final episode. Clips and moments here and there, but not the episode in full... until now. Buzzr uploaded it days ago. This included his heartfelt final speech towards the end of the episode. Original Air Date: June 14th, 1985 on ABC. Upload Date: November 5th, 2025 by Buzzr.

Keegan Fox retired from TV news a year ago from 16 WAPT Jackson. She briefly came back days ago to share her story of being adopted at five months old and finding her birth parents, from South Korea, at long last. https://www.wapt.com/article/16-wapt-news-anchor-keegan-foxx-reunites-with-birth-family-in-south-korea/69252714

New Zealand Simon Dallow is stepping down from 1 News' flagship 6pm bulletin on the 28th of November after a 20-year run on that program. Melissa Stokes will take over.

I'm adding another one... WTNH's Darren Kramer. Later this month, more likely after Thanksgiving, he'll be retiring after 24 years at WTNH and 38 overall in the business. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/darrenkramer8_a-little-personal-news-after-38-years-in-share-7391577788488568832-mvhw?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_android&rcm=ACoAABqGw-0BrOQ_9csrv95OAtvM37gqLkE_dSc

That was WESH 2-NBC. WKMG was your Problem Solvers station at one point. WFTV gave you (and still gives you) Coverage You Can Count On.
