  1. But its still better than the disastrous Cleveland 19 News.
  2. So wait, KJTV is not owned by Ramar? I thought they were. Ramar has owned KJTV since day one.
  3. So they're using the music package that they used before TITP that was only there for like a few months (or even weeks) in 2015?
  4. Did anyone know that WWL-TV used to do morning news at 5:00 a.m. IN 1989? I just now learned about this. Also, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee was on at 8:00 a.m. after the Eyewitness Morning News. This, now, is making me think that WWL-TV aired three hours of morning news from 5:00-8:00 a.m. back in the day, which is kinda hard to believe.
  5. Nah. WJW is still gonna be #1 but I hope this new refreshed look along with a new feel in their news will help propel WOIO to a #2.
  6. Someone, please record the opens from Monday. I'm hoping that WOIO will be saved and take down WEWS and WKYC with this (though it will be slowly but surely).
  7. TitanTV listings have the change now as well with the morning newscast being rebranded as 19 News This Morning and the rest going by 19 News at (insert time)
  8. It also looks like its going back to WOIO's first-ever branding... 19 News because Gray realized what Raycom and Scripps (KMGH) didn't... that having a city name in a newscast title is stupid.
  9. DISCLAIMER: I do know her though (just by looking at her work) since she attended the university that I'm currently in now and was here when she was here working at UF's Innovative News Center, thus recognizing her name.
  10. NewsCenter 5 at 4:30 which launched in January. Not only that, they also replaced Inside Edition Weekend on Saturdays with another half-hour of news at 7:00 p.m. so six nights a week, it now airs NewsCenter 5 at 7:00 followed by Chronicle at 7:30 p.m.
  11. This is why WTSP is in last place. Its not the main reason why but still...
  12. WBOC is such an interesting station. THE most interesting station out there IMO.
  13. If Gray does this right, they might have saved WOIO.
  14. Despite switching to Overture by this time, KSTP still used the beeps from its News Image/Leading Edge days to open its news and, in this instance, the severe weather crawl. I still get goosebumps when I hear this teletype effect.
  15. * weekday programming. WTTG airs opinion programming at 7pm and a political show at 11:30pm so its not entirely news in those timeslots.
  16. Film at 11. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry to double post here and apologies if its in the wrong thread, but... C-SPAN just got themselves a brand new look. Why? They turn 40 tomorrow. https://www.C-SPAN.org
  17. Possibly yes because it was under her control and that she was abusing money, though it was a personal thing with her family and not the station itself, but still... Because she got into trouble, KFMB would've been in trouble because of her. If this wasn't going to be a violation, then this could've caused KFMB to be sold anyways.
  18. Better than the open and look they had under Beartooth NBC.
  19. Charlottesville changes (according to Wikipedia which has links to the FCC stuff). WVIR Will gain a sister station in WAHU-CD "Wahoo" FOX 27 as Gray will retain that station and will only sell the WCAV/WVAW duo. This means that WVIR will more likely move its nightly 10:00 p.m. news from its third subchannel to WAHU. WCAV/WVAW Will drop the WAHU simulcast on 19.3 once the sale goes through. Gray was not able to retain the Me-TV (27.2) and AccuWeather (27.3) affiliations. Therefore, they've both been moved to WVAW and air on 16.2 and 16.3, respectively. The Me-TV thing, I don't get but I do get the AccuWeather thing since Gray is picking up a station that already carries a weather channel in WeatherNation (29.2).
  20. When I read this on Twitter @RobertFeder, I was STUNNED. You'll see WGN take them or maybe even WFLD.
  21. Soaps that'll never come back from the dead because they will stay dead.
  22. Starz has been around in the U.S. since 1994. Only till now has the name shown up in Canada. https://www.bellmedia.ca/the-lede/press/starz-launches-in-canada/
  23. It's almost there. March 21st was their sign on date.
  24. Wow really? They still air coverage? That's interesting and fascinating.
  25. Mardi Gras is like New Orleans' yearly early Halloween party. If you like Halloween, you get a second chance at Mardi Gras since you get to dress up. (Didn't mean to go off-topic)
