  1. Here's something new, interesting, and unique. Entravision has partnered with Hemisphere Media Group to launch... WAPA Orlando. Yes, the same brand that gives you WAPA-TV and Puerto Rican flair to bring its news and programming to a growing Puerto Rican population in Central Florida, launched yesterday on WOTF Channel 26 (replacing Grit), which will be complete with locally-targeted newscasts (NotiCentro Orlando at morning and midday at launch, with evening and late night newscasts to come over time; produced in San Juan), and focused on Orlando's Puerto Rican population. This is a huge deal, especially for me, since I'm half Puerto Rican. This also gives another option for Orlando since WTMO carries several segments during their newscasts focused on the latest news from Puerto Rico as well, and frequently feature reports from sister station WKAQ-TV at times. Puerto Rico is becoming more represented in the Orlando TV market, and I'm quite happy about this. https://www.tvtechnology.com/platform/broadcast/hemisphere-media-group-entravision-launch-wapa-orlando
  2. Judging by that, the second desk is much better. Like the curve up front, love the Circle 7 on the side. A nice touch.
  3. After four years at WMBF Myrtle Beach, Rachel Bogle will be leaving to join their sister station WHNS Greenville later this month as weeknight anchor. https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1281401810466553&id=100057902386513
  4. Some news involving New York's Capitol Region (both articles from The Albany Times-Union, meaning they are paywalled)... Seven years at WTEN, four as Nexstar's New York State political reporter, and Jamie DeLine is leaving for a new job in Raleigh. https://www.timesunion.com/kristi/article/political-reporter-jamie-deline-leaving-wten-new-21331751.php Also, Meteorologist Reid Kisselback will be leaving WNYT at the end of the week. He, too, has accepted a new job in Raleigh. https://www.timesunion.com/kristi/article/meteorologist-reid-kisselback-leaving-wnyt-21331416.php So what's the connection here if both are taking new jobs in Raleigh? Well, actually, they're married to each other and are expecting their first child together, a baby girl, this winter so congrats to them on that front.
  5. Sinclair has received approval from the FCC to now own and operate five stations that were previously owned by sidecar companies with Sinclair LMAs in progress. KMTR, WEMT, KCVU, KBVU, and WPFO are now all Sinclair owned-and-operated. No more Roberts Media (for KMTR) or Cunningham (for the other four). https://thedesk.net/2026/02/fcc-approves-transfer-of-five-tv-station-licenses-to-sinclair/?lnkdin3
  6. United Kingdom Tuesday February 24th. Save that date... Because you'll be watching Sky One again. https://tvlive.site/sky-one-makes-a-bold-comeback/
  7. I know, but still... it still looked like a program that could keep going, but yeah, if they don't pay those bills, then yeah.
  8. I just checked the WSNN schedule, and it looks like Nexstar continues to reduce the station's news output. It's now only on weekdays from 6-7 a.m. and 5-6 p.m. (repeated from 6-7 p.m.) with weekends completely gone. It now airs a simulcast of WFLA's 7-9 a.m. news from WTTA as well as its half-hour weeknight 10 p.m. news, also from WTTA. Outside of that, that is it.
  9. Fave TV is now extinct. It came in quietly in 2020; it left quietly yesterday morning (as of this post). KSTW, KTVT, WTOG, WBZ, WFOR, WCCO, and KOVR have since replaced it with Outlaw, while WUPA, WJZ, WBBM, WJZ, KCBS, WCBS, WPSG, KDKA, and KPIX have since replaced it with 365BLK.
  10. This also makes having the city/region name in their graphics all the more important. ABC 7 Eyewitness News Los Angeles, Chicago, and now the Bay Area. WABC doesn't follow the same route, thankfully, but you can probably see it as the same there, too, depending on how you view it.
  11. For the record, WFLX has them too as a Scripps-managing station.
  12. I'm shocked by that one. Kelly Clarkson didn't feel like she wanted to continue, so I get that, but Sherri is the shocker because it sounded like she was having a very good time hosting and doing the program.
  13. That means they probably now operate KMYT as well. I have a feeling it will be "KOKI" soon, a.k.a., being seen on KTUL 8.2, have the newscasts merged, and operations will be gutted on both sides. Ugh. This is why Sinclair is pure evil. And no way in HELL will Sinclair will continue to maintain KOKI's current newscast schedule. Lots of cuts coming there too once operations merge if Sinclair is still dealing with financial issues (which I believe is BS though). Ugh.
  14. I think ABC7BayArea.com would be just fine. I mean, its not that hard to change it or go with that route.
  15. Yep. WBFF had it and actually created a 90-minute game show block from 6:30-8pm with Feud, WOF, and J!
  16. Australia Nine is splitting up its radio and TV assets. Nine will keep TV, obviously, but is getting out of the radio business by selling it to an 84-year-old billionaire pub owner with his company, Laundry Family Office, to take over 2GB, 3AW, 4BC, 6PR (news/talkers), 2UE, Magic 1278, and 4BH (oldies stations) in a $56 million deal. SEN was considered the frontrunner, so it's kind of a shock they didn't get it. Nine will acquire QMS Media, a digital outdoor media platform (think of digital billboards), and it will sell NBN Television to WIN, thus converting it from a Nine regional O&O to a Nine affiliate. https://radiotoday.com.au/nines-radio-assets-sold-to-laundy-consortium-for-56-million/
  17. Wikipedia still says Eyewitness News for the time being. However, the logos have now been replaced, and FOX 11 is now FOX Appalachia. DT1 and DT2, respectively:
  18. KGO animates its logo at least in the open, unlike KABC, which has ignored it, despite the new modification.
  19. It was only a matter of time before KGO would adopt it once KPIX dropped it. Better late than never. Better quality 5pm from @Archiva The 6pm from S31MA
  20. Candy Caceres is about to be a whole lot busier at KGET Bakersfield. She's already the main 6pm anchor and weather presenter for KKEY Telemundo Valle Central. Now, she'll also do the 6 and 11pm weeknight weather for KGET and on top of all of that, deliver the 11pm weeknight news as well. In other words... - 6pm news and weather on KKEY. - 6pm weather on KGET. - 11pm news and weather on KGET. Yep. She'll be one busy woman. https://www.instagram.com/p/DT3_AGOAay8/?igsh=MTJwcjk3Mmt2aHIxbw==
  21. Former longtime KSDK anchor and reporter Deanne Lane has passed away. She was 65. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DUJxtx1lRr_/?igsh=MTE1b2hvcHJtYmZpaQ==
  22. I believe Jobina will do mornings and Sharon Lawson (who already does the 11pm) will expand her duties to do 6pm too.
  23. KRXI-TV is currently silent due to ongoing transmitter issues. Ironically enough, while still on 11.2, "KRNV" is temporarily back on the KRNV transmitter. https://mynews4.com/news/local/news-4-fox-11-over-the-air-signal-moved-to-slide-mountain-amid-ongoing-transmitter-issues
  24. Honolulu called, and so did Providence... they both say hold my beer. I wonder what is worse... The Deuce (KWGN) or FOX 505 (KRQE)?
  25. Darrell Greene left WHBQ Memphis, and now we know why. He joined WBTV Charlotte back in December. He follows the same journey as Carolyn Cerda, who also left WHBQ Memphis a month or two ago to join WBTV Charlotte as of December to anchor their weekday morning news. In other words... reunited! https://www.wbtv.com/2025/12/30/veteran-journalist-darrell-greene-joins-wbtv-new-anchorreporter/ https://www.wbtv.com/2025/12/30/carolyn-cerda-joins-wbtv-new-morning-anchor/
