  1. Going back to its pre-2016 days. Plus, there's no weekend edition too.
  2. Plus, if several NBC affiliates already preempt the 4th hour (most notably some Hearst ones like WBAL-TV Baltimore), then what's the point?
  3. Sorry to bring this up and I know it doesn't deserve to belong here since its 2008-present but its related to the ERA topic. If you've been wondering what Carol Jenkins (former WNBC'er) has been up to... here you go. https://www.c-span.org/video/?466272-4/washington-journal-carol-jenkins-discusses-efforts-ratify-equal-rights-amendment
  4. WNYT welcomes its second female meteorologist in two days.
  5. I don't see the UK doing this but kinda nice seeing BFM TV taking the plunge and the commitment to do this across France.
  6. Really? I find that hard to believe. It took WNYT until 2020 to finally take that plunge?
  7. Shows you how much I don't know about television but know how much about television news. Its why I'm on this forum. Haha.
  8. Don't forget... black-ish and grown-ish on The ABC Television Network.
  9. The Live Well Network name is finally going away, years after ending national distribution and mainly being a repeat-focused lifestyle network. Instead, it'll become ABC's Local-ish starting February 17th. https://tvnewscheck.com/article/top-news/243676/abc-oos-localish-expands-with-diginet-rebranding/
  10. It was on WWJ from 5-7 a.m. but WKBD also had a 2-hour extension from 7-9 a.m.
  11. To put it into perspective... its been 7 years since WKBD has aired a newscast, 15 years since WUPA has aired a newscast and yes... 22 years since WTOG has aired a newscast which was their former news department that ended in 1998.
  12. RTVE Spain mourns the death of former Informe Semanal (the equiv. of 60 Minutes) director and journalist Alicia Gómez Montano who passed away earlier today from a battle with cancer. She was 65 http://www.rtve.es/noticias/20200118/adios-alicia-gomez-montano/1995832.shtml https://www.elespanol.com/corazon/television/20200118/fallece-alicia-gomez-montano-exdirectora-informe-semanal/460704151_0.html
  13. However, I do have a feeling though that once CBSN DFW and CBSN Miami launches, you'll be seeing an hour-long newscast from the service on both KTXA and WBFS, respectively.
  14. I probably would've turned off WKYC from all of my news viewing ever since the "3" era started. I would've been fine watching WEWS or WOIO/WUAB over WKYC's garbage. But my heart would be on WJW, 100% of the time. And considering that WJW is on at the same times as WKYC, except 11PM and some weekend hours, I wouldn't miss it too much at all.
  15. I think Columbia, Mo. is the only place in the country where a University owns a big four network affiliate and an NPR member station.
  16. Copyright 2o20 Way to go, Scripps. (look at the bottom of the endcap. Apparently, the first 0 is actually the letter O in 2020)
  17. Just what the doctor ordered for WJZY. They needed a big name veteran talent like Brigida Mack and they got it.
  18. That is an error. And the press release officially says... WGN-TV Political Report. The listings got it wrong. Actually sounds kinda lame, IMO. https://wgntv.com/2020/01/08/chicagos-very-own-wgn-tv-adds-more-local-news-and-programming-starting-january-11/
  19. First NBC Boston and Telemundo Boston, next NBC 10 Boston and Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra, now what next?
  20. KRQE is losing its "Chief" Chief Meteorologist Mark Ronchetti has decided to leave the station. In unrelated news, in addition to WMTW expanding its noon newscast to an hour and WSOC adding an hour-long 7:00 p.m. newscast on WAXN (all of which will be reported on my blog soon), the following is also happening or has happened (sorry if I'm creating a list here)... WBRC Birmingham has expanded its Sunday morning news by an extra half-hour at 8:00 a.m. which then follows Full Court Press at 8:30 a.m. KHOU Houston has quietly added an hour-long Sunday morning newscast at 7:00 a.m. anchored by Lauren Talarico and Meteorologist Addison Green. WJLA Washington, D.C. has also quietly added a weekend morning newscast but its just a half-hour at 7:30 a.m. on Sundays with Kellye Lynn and Meteorologist Alex Liggitt. Finally, WTAE Pittsburgh is planning to expand its weekday noon newscast to a full hour, following in WMTW's footsteps starting January 13th.
  21. Day 2: I got Circle now up and running on WBFS 33.5. Its in 480i 16:9 widescreen, just like WBFS' other subchannels.
  22. Circle is supposed to be on WBFS 33.5. Nope! Not this morning. I can't check Gainesville and WCJB 20.4 since I'm not there today.
