  1. Aaron Wright Denise Whittaker Chris Nguyen What do these three have incommon? All appeared on Seattle TV. These same three will become the new anchors at KNWN Northwest Newsradio. Aaron (formerly from KIRO-TV) is joining afternoons and Chris (formerly from KOMO-TV for like a brief 3 month stint?) will do mornings in the interim before Denise takes over once she leaves KOMO-TV in June. https://radioinsight.com/headlines/298384/northwest-news-radio-adds-three-seattle-tv-veterans-to-anchor-lineup/
  2. Its not a good look when you replace someone who spent 20+ years at the station (Toya Washington) only for the replacement to suddenly leave after just 3 years (Kristen Pierce). I'm sorry to say this but WISN did Toya dirty. They should've given her more roles, including at 4pm, and the fact they never did or given her the 10pm on top of the 5pm, it makes them look dirty. I still like WISN 12 but something like this just makes you take a second look at them.
  3. Sticking with Milwaukee... a WDJT original is hanging it up, somewhat. Mike Strehlow has been there since day one. However, he's giving up his noon and 4pm duties so he can semi-retire in order to solely focus on CBS 58 Sunday Morning, which btw is different from their weekend morning news. https://cbs58.com/news/cbs-58s-mike-strehlow-stepping-away-from-anchor-desk
  4. Allison Rosati is back at WMAQ after a month away due to an illness. https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/allison-rosati-makes-emotional-return-to-nbc-5/3717381/?_osource=SocialFlowFB_CHBrand&fbclid=IwY2xjawJijPRleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHtU_UW_5JDcPJcUZhYCVvSpfpTmSgq5EQ_4m7ckaePwSFNpw89lVLy9I1ISX_aem_tyFuVBSxMy-Aj8z2Lv-MdA
  5. The first time games will be OTA in Miami since WPXM did so from 2002 to 2005, so 20 years now.
  6. I'm not either but the article does say and sound like WABG/WXVT/WNBD will be the flagship stations... "It’s an entity owned and operated by Webb Collums, who has a strong family history in media in southwest Mississippi and is currently invested in the Mississippi Delta region."
  7. Another retirement announcement... WDBJ 7's Jean Jadhon after 33 years. 14. 40 years on Charlotte television. He joined when it was WPCQ and Odyssey Partners without local news being produced. Now it's WCNC and TEGNA with local news on. Its the anniversary of Larry Sprinkle at WCNC. This so happens to be his final week in the morning as he'll shift to do inspirational stories (since he's a forecaster, not an accredited meteorologist). Chris Mulcahy is taking over his spot. https://youtu.be/wpz5iZvpiBA?si=MYrB5lV_zTyoPr8X

  16. THE gold standard of Chicago journalism and investigations at its finest... Carol Marin. Now, she's getting a call from the Order of Lincoln, the state's highest honor. Kept a secret since last September, the news was announced today during the 5pm news. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DH4T6gAv3xt/?igsh=YmQxenZoaXI4c282
  22. Another retirement today... KEYE's Fred Cantu. After 53 years in broadcasting, 40+ in Austin, and the last 23 at KEYE, today is the last day for Uncle Fred with a half-hour special at 6:30 p.m. CT. https://cbsaustin.com/news/local/austin-mayor-kirk-watson-declares-march-31-as-fred-cantu-day-in-honor-of-53-year-career
