  1. Another Atlanta legend is giving up the weather clicker... WAGA's David Chandley. After 42 years in the business with 25 years at WSB and the last 11 at WAGA, he's retiring. His final day is late April. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fox5atlanta.com/news/david-chandley-retiring-chief-meteorologist-fox-atlanta.amp
  2. This means, WTVJ Miami will have the following gaps (others may have similar gaps as well)... 11am first run and 2:30am repeat (Kelly Clarkson) 1pm (Access Daily) 7:30pm first run and 3:30am repeat (Access Hollywood) I can see NBC O&Os expanding their midday news to an hour again (except for WRC and WCAU which already do an hour) while shifting their lifestyle shows to earlier or later times.
  3. For the first time in St. Louis television history... Spanish-language news has arrived in the region. WXSL-LD Channel 14, home to Telemundo St. Louis, has started producing and airing local weeknight news at 5:00 and 10:00 p.m. It started this past Monday, March 9th. It also produces local news for Telemundo Portland, KJYY-LD Channel 29. https://www.stlpr.org/economy-business/2026-03-11/telemundo-launches-first-spanish-language-local-newscast-st-louis-metro-area
  4. Glad she did because I feel like something was missing from that story and I hope she wins her case as a result. She should come back on air quickly, if the case goes in her favor.
  5. Three bits of news, all different and unrelated to each other... WTNH's Lisa Carberg is leaving the station after seven years to join Yale's Cancer Center. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/tv/articles/wtnh-anchor-lisa-carberg-depart-185230549.html After 33 years, WATE's Lori Tucker, who looks like she reverses age because she looks amazing, has announced her retirement and will be leaving later this year. https://www.wate.com/news/longtime-6-news-anchor-lori-tucker-announces-plans-to-retire/ For the first time in several years, WACH is bringing back Good Day Columbia. Starting March 30th, it will air from 7:00-9:00 am. https://tvnewscheck.com/journalism/article/wach-launching-good-day-columbia-new-morning-newscast/
  6. I've said the same thing about WCJB injecting GrayONE on promos, some bumpers, IDs, and more. Yet... they're still under old graphics, the last of Gray's Florida stations to do so, and I'm still waiting for them to get it. Its been years now, so don't get your hopes up quite yet.
  7. Its official. KCYU/KFFX now airs its 10pm newscast as produced by KIMA/KEPR, ending the KNDO/KNDU partnership.
  8. I'm surprised nobody has covered WFMY's look at Pixel Lens. 14:02 into this video, you'll see it (since this is a NewsActive3 video).
  9. Kellianne Klass is coming back to local television. This time, she's joining the morning team at KIII Corpus Christi. I know, a huge market downgrade from WESH/WKCF Orlando, but remember, her husband is in the U.S. Navy, therefore she moves frequently. https://mikemcguff.blogspot.com/2026/03/kellianne-klass-joins-kiii-3news.html?m=1
  10. Its about time WFLX replaced their horrible fake FOX font logo after 18 years. A much better improvement for WFLX, IMO. Plus, finally using the actual FOX logo for the first time since 2008.
  11. An end of an era is coming up at KLAS-TV. After 32 years, all of that in the morning, Sherry Swensk is leaving on April 16th. Its NOT a retirement for her, but her choice to do something else. https://tvnewscheck.com/journalism/article/sherry-swensk-leaving-klas-las-vegas-after-32-years/
  12. Mary Nam was really one of the last of the old KOMO guard left alongside Molly Shen, IMHO. However, after 23 years, having first joined in 2003, Mary has decided to leave KOMO News on March 31st. It'll be a sad day by then. https://komonews.com/news/local/komo-tv-anchor-mary-nam-to-leave-station-at-end-of-month-after-23-years-news-last-day-march-31-hard-turn-podcast-host-journalism
  13. Australia It looks like after a huge on-air fight, the biggest radio show in Sydney, and one of the most recognizable in all of Australia, is no more. https://www.news.com.au/entertainment/tv/radio/jackie-o-quits-the-kyle-and-jackie-o-show/news-story/4e18141dbecfb7cb1233833e16171d14?utm_campaign=EditorialSB&utm_source=News.com.au&utm_medium=Facebook&utm_content=SocialBakers&fbclid=IwY2xjawQTaUJleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZA80MDk5NjI2MjMwODU2MDkAAR5zhFdnDoyZ4zfgZyczsxrMgRqz5ZX3-fowXi0sFGANq8RAx8oQQdBQCsVi2Q_aem_DGxQZoe5ZkQQkJBoYcy3cA
  14. TV listings still go by WSVN's news as Channel 7 News, though that hasn't been used since WSVN's early tabloid days.
  15. Now that Kevin Lemanowicz has departed, WFXT has announced their first-ever NEW Chief Meteorologist. And, just like WCVB's Chief Cindy Fitzgibbon, she will stay in the morning as well. https://m.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2F3OU05r3%3Ffbclid%3DIwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQPNDA5OTYyNjIzMDg1NjA5AAEeFHBuKeL4zgukO_tukAWeZdHOGiirW_cgh4RF-abCbJHQnfLPC3pTJqLUJ9E_aem_NKqip1Rzursp5uDhgzKbvA&h=AT7B5GtDT1KDBN1Cwf2sFEglwIFna9IFiHeL1ReFQSXsxGqWl7e_FCfWzgFi6w-O5fb8JSJcSWOR_ypLrrXmB0tPzUJvz8qQd654o_5Ll4MxMoQxU14t81B_LPe6ajEgrxw&s=1
  16. Australia Rick Ardon and Susannah Carr, 40 years together at TVW Seven Perth. Now, a feature piece on the two on The New York Times as well. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/03/01/business/media/anchors-rick-ardon-susannah-carr-perth-australia.html
  17. And an interview with his replacement... Andrea Collins!
  18. I do love the music cuts of Unite that they're using, first heard on WDBJ. They're so underrated IMO.
  19. Taylor Sarallo, formerly of WBMA with James Spann, and recently at WVTM, has left the station after less than two years. She's transitioning to being a full-time mom while also temporarily leaving TV news, it sounds like. https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1287540369863151&id=100058215993113
  20. This one doesn't make any sense to me.
  21. Turns out, I was wrong. Instead, Greg is the new Chief at WPEC WPB. https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1633995565132688&id=100055667808305
  22. So if this is true and accurate, that means that WINK will be producing five hours of local news every weekday afternoon/evening (3:00-6:30 on WINK, 6:30-7:00 on WFTX (meaning WINK goes back to producing that newscast), 7:00-7:30 on WINK, 7:30-8:00 p.m. on WXCW)
  23. On Wednesday, we lost longtime KXTV anchor Dick Cable, another giant in the world of Sacramento broadcasting. Nearly three decades with the station, and the station spoke with another longtimer, now in retirement, Jennifer Smith, as she remembers Cable. The newsroom is named after him, The Dick Cable Newsroom. He was 89. https://www.abc10.com/article/news/local/sacramento/longtime-abc10-anchor-dick-cable-passes-away/103-3f46a058-dcb2-4e1c-ac1e-fb042b8d574e
