  1. What I don't understand is why WXMI let 3 mets go in less than 1/2 a year... Each of the girls that left (with the exception of Haleigh i believe) were told their positions weren't needed, yet they have a posting for a weekend meteorologist. Candace could have easily filled that spot seeing that she just came back from maternity leave... There's something fishy going on there....
  2. I understand that.. but still didn't like it for either station...
  3. Thanks for posting.. I couldn't get my program to work to grab them
  4. Nice package, but I don't care for Stream for a Fox station...
  5. Nexstar's WXIN debuted a new graphics package at 4PM.. Gotta say it looks quite spiffy. Hope this rolls out to more of their Fox stations... Here's a few snippits (Most are the weather)... There's a video on YouTube, but it's from a channel that is banned on here... Also, CBS4 has the new weather graphics, but still has the Nexstar CBS graphics
  6. All the Graham Media stations (except for WPLG) had their weather U3's refreshed... Shown are WDIV (updated) and WPLG (old)
  7. Is there a reason they don't use the First Alert Weather branding?
  8. Donovan Long is leaving WOOD-TV after this week...
  9. It's a decent set.. but there's waaay too much openness behind the anchor desk... not to my likings, but overall not too shabby
  10. Seems to be an official change. Their website may be gray.tv, but all over the website, they refer to themselves as Gray Media. Not sure when this was done though...
  11. I remember seeing YouTube chock full of audition and demo reels of reporters/anchors/mets and now I hardly see any... And yes the ones straight from college even sound inexperienced and a lot of the time you can barely hear them.. They seem to be meek and uninspiring
  12. Amy Freeze is now confirmed to be out...
  13. They should've gotten something like their sister station WXMI... I just rewatched the latest newscast and just shake my head...
  14. I'm kinda underwhelmed with the new set... Looks very basic and plain.. No character.. Although with what Scipps is doing to their product, I guess we can't expect decent sets if they aren't going to be using anchors...
  15. According to FTVLive, they've been trimming the fat behind the scenes too, which may explain some of the switcheroos going on with programming...
  16. I'm wondering if WZZM will switch to it... They seem to be one of the last to switch to things... But they are kind of unique with the WeatherBall... It could work though...
  17. The Scripps Pink Slip Express continues at WXMI -- You can add morning meteorologist Candace Monacelli to the list. She literally just came back from maternity leave -- her last day will be July 3. This leaves Chief Kevin Craig and Reece Cole as mets... I think they're getting ready to go the "news initiative" route
  18. WXMI meteorologist Haleigh Vaughn has left the station. This is the second met to leave the station this year.
  19. KSAZ's Troy Hayden is leaving after 30 years
  20. KNXV Morning Meteorologist Iris Hermosillo is leaving the station permanently when she goes on maternity leave in October. She's been with the station 12 years.
  21. KPNX also changed their weather upper thirds and weather branding. They are now 12 News Weather Impact -- kind of an odd branding...
  22. While browsing on YouTube, it suggested WANF weather forecast -- I noticed the upper 3rd's have changed... It takes up a huge chunk of the top now... This seemed to happen June 3rd...
  23. I think KFSN's recent update is nice... WLS isn't too bad either... KABC and WLS debuted fairly close to each other in Fall 2015...
  24. Video is not playable on here
  25. My cousin was given an opportunity to be a MMJ for WWMT but he knew better than to go to a Sinclair station. He had 4 different Sinclair stations reach out to him. He ended up at a Hearst station and he is loving every moment of it. Very sad that he could have worked near his hometown and family, but politics and greed kept him from it.
