Not sure if this was posted already but according to TV Passport, the "Wake Up Atlanta" branding has been dropped in favor of "Atlanta News First at [insert time between 4:30-9am]." If im not mistaken only the 7-9 am hours were on Peachtree TV, now the 6 am portion is avalible on WPCH aswell.

WPCH simulcasts WANF at 6am, then the 7-9am newscast is exclusive to them. They've been doing this since it first launched.

Many Big 3 stations producing 7-9am news on duopoly stations do this.

I noticed on the guide here in NYC and thought it was interesting that Fox Weather was being carried by WWOR (my9) today from 10am-12pm..not sure if this would be a permanent addition to the lineup or was because of Ian?

The Fox-owned MyNetwork duopoly stations simulcast two hours of Fox Weather every weekend, and one hour every weekday.

  3. Credit to @CaptainNewsfor flagging it on the Discord: WBBM is airing a promo celebrating Brad Edwards' 10th anniversary at the station that features the "CBS News Chicago" branding with "WBBM" in a black box, similar to what the Group W converts and WCCO have.

The CBS Weekend News from the Broadcast Center looks so more refreshing than the plasitc show Norah puts on. Just close that studio and bring everybody back to New York. It's a waste of money and time. It also lends credibility.

Being in Washington gives the EN even more credibility than if they were in NYC, I’d argue. For one, it’s in the world’s most powerful city.

Like the 7 o'clock shows, this is also unavailable for streaming on-demand, but it debuted today. I didn't see any of it, only finding this on Ryan's Instagram story, but there's no reason why this can't turn into a Sunday night offering, as well, since WLS is the only Chicago station not in the highlight show game.

I take this as Ryan finally rejoining the sports team. That’s good to see. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it move OTA, myself.

Also, WBBM doesn’t have a Sunday sports show, either.

The 1pm hour is an odd time for affiliates to fill with live news cut-ins. The morning crew normally will have left and the evening crew not yet in. Seems like stations would likely be prerecording something from their morning/noon team...

KXAS’s cut-ins, branded The Connection, are done live with 4pm anchor Kristi Nelson.

This video appears to have the full open which seems similar to the leaked video. This also makes me wonder why it took so long for WCBS to have a Sunday morning politics/public affairs show. I guess they did briefly with Exit 10/55 on WLNY many years ago. WABC has Up Close/Here and Now, WPIX had PIX News closeup and now PIX on politics, however I think WNBC lacks a Sunday AM politics show as does WNYW.

The Point was exclusively streaming on CBSN NY for a while.

How do NBC O&Os structure their local inserts? Do they carry the "Daily" brand and look as well or just the standard O&O look (Look N)?

The standard O&O look. Although WKYC (Tegna) models their cut-ins after the Daily brand.

At 1:22 & 1:52 PM  KUSA cut in with an update.  These news updates were 5mins each, typically a "TODAY SHOW" news update is around 2:30 mins.    I wasn't expecting a local news update to be honest.

I'm curious are other stations doing local news cut ins?

Yes. There are opt-out periods around those times during the show where affiliates can do cut-ins.
