Where do you live? I'm in NJ and News 12 NJ still is very NJ centric though more regional/national stories are mixed in. But its focus remains on NJ which is severely underserved by the O&Os, not to mention Fox being in violation with Channel 9. I do find News 12+ to be useless in in its current form. It is NY, especially LI, focused and that is a turn off. It's probably a single feed across the Altice territory so that is why it carried Cuomo even in NJ. Gov. Murphy's briefings are on the regular News 12 NJ channel.

Yes, they did. One of the two hotels I stay at when in Providence still carries whatever useless stuff is on 28. No CW. Begs the question, does DirecTV or Dish carry the CW for the Providence market?

What I find interesting/concerning with WPIX is technically it is owned by Mission Broadcasting. However the not so well done website modification and the end of news bumper all say Nexstar. Talk about blatantly thumbing their nose at ownership regs. These sidecars are a scam and Pai's FCC just lets it happen.

yes, NBC O&Os include the Olympic Rings from January through the Olympics in Olympic years. They were part of the lower thirds last year until the Olympics were postponed. It does mean they will be included two years in a row assuming this year's proceed as planned.

Natalie has been as well. they have probably needed to reduce the number of folks in the studio because of the rise in infections.

Having worked with native Chicagoans previously, their love for their city is amazing and prefer it to NY. With a wife and now 2 kids, they may have felt it is a better quality of life, plus it may be the clearer path to being the head honcho on WMAQ whereas David had always been considered the heir apparent. Although Stefan's father and mother are here in NY, his in-laws are in Chicago.

He delivered his marks before late sports last night in the delayed 11 pm edition. He said he was looking forward returning to Chicago where he was born and lived, and the return to sister station WMAQ. He mentioned how exciting it was to first come to 30 Rock to work. He also mentioned that he would be back in the building on occasion as his kids grandddude works in the building. He also thanked Natalie in particular for the personal friendships and support as they have kids the same age - a toddler and infant and they will continue that over face time. Much more satisfying to the viewers than his barely mentioning it at the end of the 4 pm news.

Basically he just said thanks for the memories as he signed off the 4 pm news. Very low key and underwhelming. You have to wonder why?

What do the religion of the anchors or any on staff personnel have to do with anything? It is their personal business. It has nothing to do with their qualifications, experience and viewer acceptance.

I don't think anyone was inferring Stefan Holt's move back to Chicago was budget driven. He's been pretty open on social media that it was a return the family wanted. The comment on budget cuts at several NBC O&Os and local NBCSNs was in relation to WNBC not replacing Stacey Bell at 5, no announcement of a co-anchor when Adam takes over, nor any announcement if there will be one on weekends with Gilma. It probably comes down to if the viewers actually notice and care, not those that notice every detail of a broadcast. There are enough remote reports and investigative stories at 5 that it may not make a big deal to most viewers. Could that change? That's up to the execs at NBC.

I suspect both Adam and Gilma will go solo with their respective broadcasts for a while. NBC was in no hurry to replace Stacey Bell. NBC budget cuts hurt other O&Os with both on air and off talent, which doesn't seem to have hit WNBC. Probably not filling the 5 pm co-anchor slot has helped manage the budget.

I believe that is the same desk and studio area that they used for New York Live when they used the studio. It seems to only be used for TINY. Not at noon, 5, 6 or 11.

Stacey Bell left to end her bicoastal commute and be with her husband full time. He is the HC of the LA Chargers and she was actually on Hard Knocks season premiere last week. In the case of Stefan, he is going to another NBC O&O. Although NBCU has been cutting staff in the last couple of weeks, it does not appear this is the case if he is actually transferring within the company.. Unlike other markets, it does not seem that any local on air staff have been let go, yet.

I'm shocked. I just read the story on TV Newscheck. I guess for whatever reason NBC determined he needed to be back in Chicago. I wonder how WNBC reshuffles, does David get 4 and 11, and Kuperstein gets noon and 5, or does David stay where he is and Kuperstein gets 4 and 11. I imagine it's up to what David wants. I imagine if WNBC has identified who will be the 5 pm coanchor, they'll need to determine who has the best chemistry.

The promo began airing when Chuck returned to 30 Rock last week. He is also standing throughout the news cast as well. Darlene is on vacation this week. I'm assuming when she returns, she will be in the studio as all other anchor teams now are.
