  1. WRCB update with a logo ive never seen before and Bill Markham.
  2. See if you can find any KPNX from 1992-93 -- that era is RARE!
  3. So do the KTVB hits:
  4. A KOVR newsbrief at the beginning
  5. Tail end of a WLKY open I've never seen before... 1997 Speaking of WLKY, I have been searching for a newscast during their Gannett era. The closest I could find was this vintage clip from former anchor Liz Everman's Facebook. It's from August 1980, but they haven't implemented the new Gannett colors yet.
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkUlyK142B0 A WFTV newsbreak at 0:35 -- did they actually use the "And You" look into 1986?
  7. No open, but WYFF in 1984 on the solar eclipse. Also a KOCO raw clip of weatherman Chris Lee shows what their first Gannett era logo looked like at the beginning (this isn't the "Death Star" ident, which I'm still trying to search for).
  8. CM Sloan does it again -- this time with a KWTV newscast from 1988. It's always a treat whenever an Oklahoma television station footage is uploaded to YouTube.
  9. All the PNS stations except WPLG used the same set during the mid 1980s. The same set design was used by WSB and WVEC around the same time, plus WTVF circa early 1990s.
  10. A collection of opens from all the "Big Three" stations in Omaha, circa early '90s. Includes an unknown KMTV theme.
  11. That KOAT open I think is pretty cool as well. Reminds me a bit of KTLA's logo ID from the same period.
  12. Open at 11:50 KTVY and KRLD's 1984 opens are similar - I think the latter is the rip-off. Still impressive, though.
  13. Here's proof that Doc Morgan was WWL-TV's voiceover during the mid 1980s. (Listen closely, it's hard to tell cause it's one of his earlier works)
  14. WJBK news brief, 1985 -- using an unknown theme.
  15. Since we just saw a rare WAGA open, I wonder who composed the Theme Music. Could it be locally-produced or a Network Music track, cause I know then-owner Storer used lots of Network Music tracks for their stations.
  16. At the very beginning is a WTVC close during their Belo era... with Tuesday3! Also here is David Carroll before going to rival channel 3.
  17. I've always wanted to know, who is that voiceover that has done VOs for stations such as WHO-TV, KWWL, and WQAD? One thing I do know, he must be Iowa-based. He also has done other non-Iowa stations like KTVB and KLAS.
  18. Did WYFF keep the JCBD graphics when they switched to Primetime News? Also KMGH from 1985 (transitional period: they started using "Turn To News" but they still have the "News 7" branding and Roger Thompson): You can see some small promos at 2:01 and 15:01, as well as a news break at the end.
  19. A KPNX documentary from 1979 about their news helicopter, piloted by the great Jerry Foster. This confirms that they changed their call letters in 1979 (FCCInfo.com states the call letter change occurred April 14, 1980 as well as Wikipedia at one point)
  20. I read that KPNX debuted "News Station" on April 30.
  21. KMOV sports promo with current lead anchor Steve Savard... with Larry Van Nuys! This is so far the only video of Channel 4 using Larry's VO on YouTube, except an open using him can be heard on the NMSA.
  22. This was taken from KOTV in Tulsa during its "KOTV 6 News" era. A couple highlights include a promo for Clayton Vaughn and Karen Carlsen (at 23:55), a weather bulletin at 11:35, and a Ragu commercial at 41:12 voiced by Doug Paul. YouTuber munecojim has a lot of Guiding Light episodes from KOTV on his channel, besides this one.
  23. I have a YouTube channel similar to identchannel, where I post Ident histories of TV Stations. Some stations I've used are the same as identchannel, but I do have some different ones, including: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbZHMJ6mK9A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lC1BqJQs7zo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8gTQI-gp5A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnegISpgEz0 Please subscribe! New videos are posted every day! Channel name is The ID Junkie.
  24. Yeah... their sister station WFIE in Evansville used a cheap knockoff of those graphics around the same time.
