KABC really tries to have the best set in the O&O group.

I’m gonna make a crazy prediction with CBS and CNN joining forces I think…

I wanna see this set, I hope it out does WABC.

It can’t even get past WXTV at times how do they become number 1 in the market.

I’m bummed Brougnah and Ray Cortopassi were laid off I don’t really like a lot of Chicago personalities. But I like Brougnah foreign POV (since she’s from Ireland) and her uniqueness. Ray was chill also. Micah gotta find a new co-anchor.

Every one is a news anchor now I see I’m in college I’m having second thoughts about entering this really unattractive business. Maybe I could start my own platform that’s the future anyways. I’ve also thought about meteorology FOX5 literally has a weather presenter with no meteorological training doing there weather and is 29 years old, I think you know who I’m talking about and I’m mixed about her. I prefer to get a degree, not get a job because of looks. And this is market #1 we’re talking about god I hate New York, I could go on a full on rant about the nations 2 largest cities both of them… I’ll just keep it too myself.

Hopefully Russell James becomes the new chief meteorologist and succeeds him he’d be the first black and autistic chief meteorologist in broadcast history.

Are they ABC’s weakest station.

WTVD used dispatch before from 2001-2006. It would be a return they got it along with a short lived logo in Oct. 2001.

Maybe KABC goes back to being called "Channel 7 Eyewitness News". Doubt it though, just as I doubt WABC will rebrand to "ABC7 Eyewitness News". As it was from 1999-2004.

Well keep in mind WLS dropped "Eyewitness News" in 1997, and brought it back in 2013. I never thought in my lifetime they bring that back either.

Ugh I hate these changes at least KGO didn’t switch to Dispatch aka WABC theme.

Still sad, I hope they also don't pick up dispatch, they don't need it I hope it doesn't become a main music theme on all O&Os, I mean WTVD had it from late 2001-2006, yes it could replace there current music but It doesn't fit all markets.

Truly an end of and era, though KGO picked up there soon to be old logo in 2006.

That happened to me at a hotel in NY with CBS there. But say what you wanna say about CBS News they polish there local stations and the fact that WUPA could beat WANF ratings-wise says a lot about the latter than it does WUPA, CBS knows how to run its local stations. Even WWJ in Detroit is even doing good in the ratings so CBS is good I'm some of its market at least the new ones.

Ikr? But she has to know this comes with the territory of being on TV. But let's not pretends she is not friends with one of the most powerful women in the world. She can get what she wants, hell if I was friends with Oprah I use her as leverage too. I'm surprised Oorsh doesn't have a stake in Paramount.

And they are actually doing well in the ratings, I guess a new local news operation is still possible to launch off the ground in this day in age.

Yeah, that whole “being employed in another city” thing usually gets in the way.
